MOST RECENT UPDATE!Fender refuses to acknowledge my BBB complaint against them. They refuse to reply to the BBBThe BBB Suggested I take it up with my AG. Which I have.I sincerely hope Fender restructures after this fight.Once again. DO NOT BUY FENDER! they absolutely flipping SUCKUpdate 2Messages between myself and Fender:Guitar Center Jacksonville Fl. Your websites direct referral.Yes a tech was spoken to.And I’m going to explain to you the same thing I’ve emailed four times now.The “tech” told me to take it to my local Sam ash.As the Strat was purchased thru Sam Ash. Just not this store.I took the guitar there and AS PREVIOUSLY STATED was told this a warranty claim through Fender and I was outside the 45 day replacement date.I purchased the guitar 12/28/2020 and it was delivered 01/05/2021.So… as I’ve explained to you more than once,I am caught in a blaming cycle where no one wants to assume responsibility. The guitar is flipping brand new!I’ve played it, maybe a dozen times.Never dropped and always stored secure! The tech at Guitar center (the one recommended on your website) stated this a polymer crack that grows over time with heat. That’s why I never recognized it on initial inspection. It was hairline and unnoticeable to the human eye. This is where Sam Ash is giving me the “it’s not our fault bs”.I ask you, how am I able to detect a hair line crack when first delivered?Do you require your customers to inspect all Fender guitars with optic lenses? Perhaps a CAD scan and model should be reproduced?C’mon dude! This is absolutely ridiculous!I want what I paid for!I’m tired of this run around and absolutely degrading, condescending, emails from the out of state Sam Ash that sold me this flawed Guitar.I’ll let you know that Guitar Center Jacksonville FL told me they would immediately replace the Strat had I purchased it through them. And I promise Fender;I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH SAM ASH AGAIN!You should drop them as a distributor.ORIGINAL REVIEWItem arrives with a unnoticeable micro crack that grew over the 2 months I’ve owned this product. The defect was hidden on initial deliver inspection. Therefore, unnoticeable.Seller refuses to replace item and brushes me off to Fender warranty support and leaves the buyer on my own to take care of an obvious manufacturer defect.Update:I followed the steps Fender supplied to me about obtaining warranty service. When I arrived at Guitar Center (a factory authorized repair center) the manager was appalled at your communication with me.Specifically, he stated that the crack is a poly crack that grew with heat and any, decent tech would have recognized the flaw and immediately start the replacement process. He recommended I go to my local Sam Ash store. So I did.The staff at the Sam Ash was more than complimentary. They phoned Fender Techs for me and were immediately able to resolve my issue.Additionally, the Sam Ash employees were able to trace what store the broken Strat was shipped from. Here comes the good part.Fender will replace my guitar through my local Sam Ash.Good people there.I also know where my Strat was shippedFrom. The Sam Ash store # etc.and while I will give my local SA storeA glowing recommendation.I will illiterate a comprehensive review of your store and your customer service playbook. You should have your store Manager call me before I post.Your attitude and lack of caring appalled employees of guitar center and Sam Ash.I will think very hard to ever do business with Sam Ash again.Guitar Center informed me that the Manufacturer defect would be rectified immediately. The same from my local Sam Ash.Your store has issues. These issues will be forewarned and forwarded to Sam Ash superiors.Stephen JohnsonSigned,Freakin more than pissed off and frustrated!Stephen Johnson

Had to open the guitar up with a screwdriver and bend the internal metal jack
Fender - White Player strat - pau ferro fretboard - Made in Mexico - $699As soon as I plugged in the (Fender) instrument cable I knew something was wrong. The cable fit loosely and would come out with the slightest nudge. Reading into the issue online I found an easy fix. Unscrew the two screws on the metal plate. There is a piece of metal that should connect as shown in the picture.(the picture is one found online -not mine). Bend the metal so it fits as shown. Super easy fix all you need is a screwdriver. I deducted one star for this quality control but I've heard this guitar is a really good deal on components and playability when tuned up properly. The fretboard is flat and the frets are a bit sharp but i'm getting used to that. A Fender American Professional strat (the one that's made in the USA) has rolled edges and is a bit more comfortable to play but I've heard that this model is a bit better value at less than half the price. The strings stretched a bit the first fifteen minutes I played but now they hold their tune quite well. I hope the pickups and internal connections are good. Once I have the opportunity to play my guitar on the amp a bit I will update my review. I don't mind having to do this minor modification because now I have the right fit with the instrument but I'm certainly now a bit more skeptical of this product and on the eye out for further issues.

Very Happy!
I was a little worried about ordering a guitar from Amazon but it arrived in perfect condition. The only issue I had was the delivery guy left the box out in the front yard instead of at our door. But we were able to get it right after it was dropped off so it didn't have to sit out there. The guitar looks and plays great. This model line is made in Mexico but sounds and feels just as good as Fender's American line of guitars from what I read. Personally, without having experience with both lines, this one is just right for me especially for the price. I was looking to upgrade from my first starter guitar which is a entry level Epiphone Les Paul Special. The design and frets feel much more comfortable and I really like the strings Fender puts on theirs. The body feels great, not too heavy and not too light. The pickups sound amazing. 3 single coil pickups that allow you to use a 6 way switch selector. I have yet to use the whammy bar. This guitar really holds in tune or very close to it every time I go to play it.Overall being a beginner, this is a real upgrade for me. I would even recommend that someone who is just beginning to learn to play consider starting with this model if possible.I am very happy with my purchase! Thank you Fender!

Great sound but not very playable
The guitar as it arrived needed a complete setup. I was only able to get it part of the way there; I had to take it into a professional for the rest. In addition to neck/bridge adjustments, the fret ends were a bit too much out and needed filing; whether that's a manufacturing issue -or- the fact that it originated in Mexico, spent time in a store in Texas, and then got shipped to Chicago in the late fall/early winter.Regardless, sans full setup it plays pretty good, sounds great, and I'm happy with my purchase.

Complete Scam, do not buy
I've owned many Stratocasters. Needed a good Strat to have around the house as my gigging rig is unavailable right now. Figured: "why not order a Player Star from Amazon, convenience is awesome."Huge mistake. After setting it up and working with it for a few days it became clear that there was an issue with the neck. Frets are uneven, the pocket is off and the neck itself isn't in all that well done (the skunk connection protrudes, the truss rod is poor and it's crooked). It became clear that there was no salvaging this guy so I contacted Amazon but, and here's the kicker, they refuse to refund. Even when clearly stating that there is an issue with the instrument, it's literally broken, they won't do anything. This would never happen if you bought it in a shop. They recommend contacting the manufacturer but when I tried to contact Fender, I was told to contact Amazon.People, this is giant scam. I don't believe there's any way this guitar could have passed quality controls. Fender is offloading broken guitars on Amazon while Amazon refuses to do refunds.Complete Scam and waste of $1,000.

A great replacement for the standard series strat.
If you are looking for a modern stat, this is a good place to start. Compared to the old standard series the new alnico pickups sound more "strat like", the neck feels great with satin varnish on the rear and slightly narrower but taller frets and a vibrato that is as good as any non locking system I've used. O.K, if you want the full vintage vibe this probably won't be for you, but if you want a good, playable, gig friendly strat for around a third of the price of an American pro/elite series check one of these out. Five stars. -Mike

Fender Player Stratocaster Electric Guitar - Maple Fingerboard - Polar White
There are so many strat versions over the years, its almost impossible to know which one to buy, well this player version i can tell you is a proper strat. My son has played several American models over the last few years ranging in price up to £2000, and he has been astonished to find that this player strat plays and sounds better .So if you want the Hank Marvin sound of the sixties, seventies up to present day, this is the guitar to get. Fantastic buy for your money.

What I have always wanted
My dream has finally come to reality, my all time guitar god is Ritchie Blackmore so to have a fender stratocaster like him makes you want to be a better player. This guitar is immaculate in its finish and I look forward to many hours of playing it.

Superb guitar
I've owned this strat now for close to 7 months. In the Polar White with maple fretboard, it looks beautiful, really classy. The neck feels so smooth and silky and it played great right out of the box. The Alnico pickups sound fantastic either clean or distorted. I play it most days and favour it over my other 2 guitars. Well worth the money!!
