Should the freezer be room temperature (empty of food and allowed to warm) for the adhesive to work/bond?

I would not apply adhesive to a very cold item. Adhesives have to "set". Just my opinion and I am not an expert. There are epoxies that work in wet environments. Ask google.

can you use this to repair a refrigerator liner or is it too flexible? Have a round crack about the size of a quarter on the bottom front of the frig

I think its a strong and durable bond, but caulk on a flat surface is iffy if you can't support it from behind. I have used it as a coating to repair dishwasher racks, and it's messy but holding up beautifully.

Can this product be used in an aquaponic system to seal leaks and pvc pipes?

This was not as expected, I was disappointed with this product
