Bambusa Metake Korean/Japanese Arrow Bamboo #1 Size Live Plant

I have been quite impressed with the bamboo I purchased. I planted two shoots about 15 feet from this shot... I have got bamboo shoots sprouting all over, some over 40 feet from the original!Our soil down here in South Georgia is rather sandy and I'd imagine quite acidic. The bamboo seems quite at home though.Unless you have some sort of underground barrier, expect shoots to pop up EVERYWHERE! I love it!As for those who wonder about how fast it grows. The first year they remained small and kept to a small area. Second year... dang! All over! Two weeks ago I had three 4" shoots in front of my pond. Those three are now over 10 feet tall and starting to spread their leaves.

I received a well packaged, healthy plant, taller than advertised, with relatively quick delivery. The picture is the plant in it’s new 25 gallon grow bag on the day of delivery (everything from this point is down to me).

I ordered 2 plants. One was prepped with a jell for shipping the other wasn't.1 of the plants was too large for the box so they bent and broke the plant to get it in. Did I mention that both plants died right away.

UPDATE; It's been 15 months and this bamboo did great in Los Angeles as a container plant. I did have to shade it in late summer when the late afternoon scorched the leaves and they began to fall. Since then I've moved to Las Vegas and brought it inside where it receives morning sun. A second is outside in a container receiving morning sun and it did just fine in temps over winter here (35 at night). It's also tolerated up to 20mph winds, although it's not as large and robust as the one I've kept indoors.First review:I am a very avid Gardner, even though I'm limited to container gardening at my apartment. This is by far one of the best specimens I've received from my online ordering. A gorgeous, lush and full plant over 1 1/2 feet tall. Just the perfect addition to my southeast Asian themed patio garden.

I am impressed the plants I ordered are in great condition and growing right after planting. They look amazing and are super healthy. I am ordering more plants from this seller. Very reliable. Worth the money. My bamboo looks wonderful.
