Most beautiful book, sweetest words. Great shower gift.

Wish I could give 1,000 stars! Cry my eyes out every time I read this beautiful book. I bought it for myself because I have two wonderful high school daughters. Then I give it to all my loved ones having babies. They tell me that even the dad's cry because of the beauty of the sentiments. I believe this book is written for adults who can read it to children. The message is beautiful for all!

I bought this because it kept popping up on the series Heartland.I wanted to see and read the whole thing. I'm so glad I bought it.Next time I know someone who is having a baby girl, this book will be part of their gift.It's beautiful.

Although you may start crying as you’re reading this to your kids, it’s definitely worth it. What a great reminder of how we’d like our children to experience life.

I wept when I read it and love that it will be part of my daughter’s library for years to come. It captures major life events and emotions, and the hope and dreams a mother has for her daughter. It may be one of those books she’ll really appreciate once she has a daughter of her own.

Comprato più per me che per mia figlia di 2 anni, è un libro dolcissimo. Al momento glielo leggo ma essendo così piccola non riesce a capirne il senso della vita ma lo metterò nella sua scatola dei ricordi e lo leggeremo di nuovo quando sarà più grande.

Since this was first published this has been one of my favourite books, and a wonderful gift for new parents/baby, ESPECIALLY if it's a girl. I bought it for neighbours who had twin girls. I didn't realise this version was a board book when I bought it (I had always bought hardcover versions previously) but it really does make it very accessible to read/be read by young children too.I bought it for my great-niece about 6 years ago and apparently it has been her very favourite as she grows up.It's a sweet, lovely book and would highly recommend it to anyone.
