Good filter
Filter is good. Clear glass. Most of the new dslr lens don't need a uv filter because the sensor has uv compensation. I use it to protect the lens from smuggling and dust ingresGlass is very clear

Serves the purpose. Nice fit but prone to scratches and spots.
Pro: the quality is good and the price is affordable. It's better than any other uv filter in this range. Fits perfectly and you don't see much difference in picture quality.Con: the film quality is a little brittle so anything that touches the filter might scratch it.I just wanted to buy it to protect my kit lens and as it happens it works amazingly well.

Must have protection for all your lenses
A must have filter for the Canon 10-18 mm Wide angle zoom I ordered recently. While a modern day DSLR does not require a UV filter, but a high quality metal ring and premium coated filter does help protect the main lens glass from scratches dust and / or finger prints the worst enemy. Hoya is the world's leading brand for these filters. Important to buy a good brand as the glass and coating should not deteriorate the image quality as is the case with cheaper alternates.

Best UV Filter To Keep Your Lenses Safe
Hoya is my always go-to brand for UV Filters to keep the lens safe. There's no notable drop in picture quality. However, it's best to remove the UV Filter if you are planning to use ND / CPL.

Sealed product has finger mark
Quality of product is very good. When I opened it Glass itself has lot of finger marks. Quite surprising.

The product is good as expected from Hoya
The product is good as expected from Hoya. But as advised by Tony Northrup one should not have a piece of cheap glass ahead of a much pricey lens by any means forcing the incident light to pass through another medium. You can manage to protect the lens by the lens hood only and by the lens cap (while in storage). So, say NO to optical/UV filters. Waste of money by the over-protective guy!

Can't reduce the UV ray.
It's a worthless product, cant reduce the uv ray. Only wastage of money. It's nothing bt a piece of glass only. The worst UV filter I have ever used since 1990. Plz don't buy it.
