This is NOT 100% pure essential tea tree oil.
An easy method to test if your oil is pure is by comparing it to a reputable brand such as "Now." Included with this review are pictures of the test. A drop of each oil was placed on a sheet of paper and a hair dryer was used to evaporate the oil. Pure tea tree oil from "Now" evaporates completely from the paper leaving no stain while the "Sun" brand leaves a carrier oil stain.Another test is to place a drop of oil between 2 fingers and rub them to test the viscosity. If it feels slick like a vegetable oil. There may be a carriar oil mixed with essential oil. Pure tea tree essential oil will not feel slick like vegetable oil. Sun's oil has the slick viscosity of a carrier oil.

NOT TEA TREE OIL!!!!
This stuff is awful! It smells NOTHING like tea tree oil. As other reviewers have stated, it smells exactly like Pine Sol. I never write reviews, but this is so terrible that I felt I needed to warn others.

Brand quality is not the same
I've used this brand for several years, but have noticed a sharp decline in the quality lately. I decided to stop buying after having 4 occurrences of scents being compromised in some way. Issues included:1. Oils spoiling within a few months. Either going 'flat' or completely rancid/sour. Perhaps stock is not being rotated to account for shelf life2. Oils not feeling as pure. As I've replenished scents, the new one is noticeably less potent and viscosity is different.3. I'm speculating here - seems these are 'oil blends' being marketed as 'pure.' e.g. like jojoba/essential combos you see from other brands

Adulterated with an unlabelled carrier oil, weak scent
This oil is adulterated with an unlabelled carrier oil. Cedarwood essential oil is a bit more difficult to judge with the paper test as it is naturally a heavier oil that takes more time to evaporate. However, when a drop of true cedarwood essential oil is placed on piece of white paper, it gradually fades, but retains a lingering scent. This oil smelled noticeably weak to begin with and left a persistent greasy spot consistent with adulteration with a carrier oil. I have found evidence of this with all of the Sun Essential Oils I have tried, so I would recommend avoiding them entirely. I would suggest considering NOW essential oils instead.

Not 💯 % Tea Tree Oil. Listen to your instincts. Has a very oily filler added to it.
This is absolutely not 💯 % Tea Tree OilThere is a def filler added to it that overpowers the tea tree oil smell.3/3 Still a one. Seller contacted me, assured me it was 100% tea tree oil. Offered to send a replacement. Unfortunate exactly as the first. Very little tea tree oil smell. Smells like pine sol. Very oily. Not like any tea tree oil I've ever purchased, will stick with another brand. Have purchased several dif tea tree oils that were all equally great in quality. Same smell, just like it should. Def something off about this brand. Appreciate replacement but still will not use. Do not trust it. 😐 sorry.

The company returned it immediately which was good, but they do not get any brownie points ...
Low quality product. This is not a pure essential oil. The ingredients read Ylang Ylang oil, yet this is misleading and dishonest. The 4 ounces of oil here is a carrier oil of some type which they do not disclose on the bottle nor in the description. There is a faint scent of Ylang Ylang, which goes away in a few minutes after applying - meaning there is very little actual Ylang Ylang essential oil. False advertising and dishonest labeling, in my opinion. The company returned it immediately which was good, but they do not get any brownie points from me on that one. Label your product honestly, disclose your ingredients and change your description so you do not take advantage of people.

Cheap, cheap, cheap!
I am so disappointed, this oil had such great reviews! I recently started burning essential oils in my home. I started with a lavender oil that I purchased on Vitacost and it was their own brand. I used 1/4tsp in my burner and not only would the entire house smell great but I sometimes had to blow the candle out because the scent was so strong. When the candle was not lit, the room still smelled like lavender just from the oil sitting in the burner.Being this oil was cheaper, I assumed it would not be as potent and boy was I right! I have it on the counter in front of where I do dishes and I cannot even smell it!The first time I burned it, I used the 1/4tsp and couldn't even smell it while I was in the same room! I have since started filling the entire burner and once lit, I can smell the orange but with as much as I need to use, this bottle will be done after 4 uses! And the dropper is this cheap plastic thing that was bent so I threw it away, useless!I will not purchase this brand of oil again.
