AtecoPlastic Coated Decorating Bag, 18-Inch

I had to add another review of the Ateco Pastry bag, I initially reviewed 4 years ago after my first purchase of the 18" bag. I trust the Ateco name as I bake professionally and this is what I use at work. I don't bake at home year round, just mostly during the whole month of December, that is when this pastry bag is put to the test! It is flexible enough for me to handle easily, not too stiff, but obviously it is sturdy enough to be durable. The two main items that I use this for, is meringue to pipe out meringue mushrooms, and buttercream frosting for cupcakes. If you are familiar with baking you will acknowledge that those are 2 very different formulas that don't work well together :D meaning that with a meringue, your bag, your bowl, your utensils have to be completely grease-free. And a buttercream is, well, buttery! This bag has the coating on the inside that allows me to wash by hand and get completely squeaky-grease-free clean when I need it for the meringue. Even after 4 years, this bag does NOT need replacing, I just wanted to treat myself to a brand new one :D Still has the grommet for the hanging hole which is so much better than a sewn-on loop which tears off eventually. Obviously, I would purchase again, as I just have!

I have finally found the piping bag that I have been looking for. The bag holds enough frosting for 24 or more cupcakes. Easy to clean, despite being fabric on the outside. My hands didn't slip, like with the plastic/disposable brands. The large tips fit very snug with no leakage. No need for couplers with the large tips. Easy to fill, with plenty of opening at the top.My opinion: Great product for those of us who bake for fun.Would I buy again? Yes, when I wear this one out. Worth the money; if you debate on the purchase. I would definitely tell friends and family about this product.

Very nice bag! Super easy to clean! Will be buying more in different sizes. These should last a long time if cleaned. No residual smell from prior fillings. Love that the inside is Vinland and outside fabric. Very easy to handle. Have used over and over. Still looks new. It comes with a small grommet. After washing I hang it on a small nail until dried. I also hang in my pantry so it stays in a perfect cone. I’m sure it will store just as nice rolled up.

The bag does the trick and it seems durable enough to last a lifetime. I chose this one because it was recommended by America's Test Kitchen whose opinions I've trusted, (perhaps too much but that's another story).I bought the package deal that was listed as "Frequently bought together" on the Amazon page the day of purchase and still as I write this.The couplers that come with that 3 piece package Do Not Fit the tips listed. I'll still use this with the tips which are more than I'll need, I just won't be able to use the quick change convenience of the couplers. I think (buyer be ware) that the correct coupler for these tips is the "Ateco Large Plastic Coupler 404"I can't blame ATK nor Amazon but perhaps this revuew will keep someone else from buying a component they do not need/can not use.

very easy to clean, good in use, i love it, had it for a few months, hopefully will last for a while, seems to be of a very good quality, and the price was right. Still upset about amazin pairing up the wrong size tips set with this and other Ateco purchase me and other people on amazon made.

Love these pastry bags!I finally used them recently to pipe soap frosting on my soapcakes, and they work wonderfully! The 18-inch size is pretty large and can hold a great deal of frosting, and clean up is a breeze!!!The bags are a little stiff at first, but I've read in other reviews that they get softer/more pliable with time and usage. I am happy with the purchase, and would not hesitate to order them again.

I am not a great cook and I certainly do not bake cakes or pies which is exactly what this decorating bag is meant for. Instead, I bought it simply to make stuffed mushrooms – that’s it, as they are so labor intensive. I cooked up Jimmy Dean sausage, cooled it and mixed it with Philadelphia cream cheese. While still slightly warm, I squeezed the mix onto upside down mushroom caps. Easy-peasy. Bake them, and it’s a hit. Everyone thinks you fussed with tiny spoons and such when I just ran along and filled the mushroom caps. It’s inexpensive and has a lot of other uses as well – as any cook can tell you.

Amo que son de excelente material, buena calidad y excelente tamaño, tengo de dos tamaños diferentes y las dos me encantan.Son fácil de lavar, solo les das la vuelta, lavas, secas y listo para reutilizarse.Definitivamentw es algo que te va a durar mucho tiempo. Tengo mas de un mes usandola diario y siguen intactas.Por la parte de adentro tiene algo como impermeable.Yo la uso para crema batida o chantilly aunque sin problemaaaa se usa para cosas calientes por la resistencia del material.

Love how big this piping bag is. Had to give it a wash as it had a little smell to it, but I think that’s just because it was new. It was easy to fill because the fabric was sturdy and I was able to make a nice big fold at the top to hold on to it. Would definitely recommend!
