When the cookie stamp set arrived, I had difficulty prying the lid off of the storage container. You have to pull hard, rather than unscrewing. The lid is also the cookie cutter. It is possible to put the lid back on somewhat loosely and still have a good seal against dust.I like the colorful stamps, which I think could be useful for more than just cookie making. The raised designs are about 1-1/4" to 1-1/2" across and are well defined.Like with all cut-out/stamped cookies, you'll get best results from a recipe that doesn't puff up or spread much during baking. Chill the dough both before rolling and after cutting.If the imprints come out faint, I'll try to use them as a template for colored icing, which should make the designs more apparent. (I may first try re-stamping the baked cookies, just in case that helps.) Another possibility is filling the indents before baking.If you don't mind experimenting around to find what works for your chosen cookie recipe, cookie stamps can be fun.
