This has got to be the BEST educational item I have bought my son in his entire life and he is 12 in less than 2 weeks! WE have not stopped using it since it arrived and that was nearly 10 hours ago! The microscope itself is a sturdy and child-friendly design, with an excellent range of magnification settings which are all crystal clear. The booklets and accessories included (featuring several prepared slides and a range of different experiments including your own sea monkeys to grow and observe) make this brilliant value for under £30. My son and I were astonished at what was included for the price and have already planned to start growing the sea monkeys tomorrow before school! We would give this TEN stars if we could!

Lightweight to use, easy set up and although takes a minute each time to get a clear view it's quality is good. Extra slides kept my daughter amused picking up things from garden and house to look at.

Great little microscope for any inquisitive child. My son who turned 9 wanted one for his birthday and I am satisfied this was a good choice. It comes with a neat kit with plenty of slides and a handy booklet to get them started. Comes with some experiment ideas like yeast etc for them to prepare their own slide. Great price and microscope is good quality. Onyl thing missing is a lab coat for the full feel. Definitely a great buy.

Really good microscope. I was skeptical to this item. But price and quality is impressive. It came with lab kit and batteries. You can do lights more brighter and less. Bought for my son's 7 year birthday. We watched samples which are in kit, and throughout magnifying lenses you can see tiny things very clear. I did take sample from mould ( which growed on lemon) and i was impressed how beautiful it is. Without microscope you cannot see all spores. My husband was exploring that mould spores for an hour,moving sample glass different ways to see it from all sides. So it's very interesting for adults and kids. I'm not disappointed. I'm impressed!!! Thanks for this microscope.

I wanted a good budget microscope for the little one to cut his teeth on, a lot of the cheaper ones are just flat garbage! But I took a chance o this and it's great.. hits the spot perfectly on cheap and functional.. more than happy with this set.. and came incredibly fast too which was an extra bonus... more than recommended if your looking for a decent first scope that actually works but don't want to pay the earth..

Xmas gift

I bought for my 12 year old for Christmas along with some prepared slides, he loves it and in his words this is the best present ever! The quality and images are amazing. I snapped this photo using my camera phone down the lense of the microscope of some chicken blood (part of the prepared slide pack purchased separately) Excellent value for money and perfect for his age.

It's quite hard to use because of the flimsy construction: it wobbbles, which matters a lot when you're trying to focus on something tiny. OK as a toy, for a patient child. Reasonable value I suppose since it's one of the cheaper microscopes listed.

Das Mikroskop kam schnell an und war gleich einsatzbereit. Allerdings sind die beigefügten Experimente inklusive der Anleitung dafür nur auf polnisch beiliegend, sodass wir z.b. nicht wissen wofür manche Teile gedacht sind. Das Mikroskop macht ein gutes Bild und wirkt auch stabil auch wenn z.b. beim Okular schon die einfache günstige Verarbeitung deutlich wird (siehe Bild) Angeblich gibt es eine lebenslange Garantie darauf... Ich habe schon schlechtere kindermikroskope in der Hand gehabt z.b. von Cle..., Welches eigentlich nur plastikmüll war, hier wäre das Mikroskop nicht schlecht. Aber hier kann man Krebse züchten oder Hefe anzüchten aber ich habe keine Ahnung wie es eigentlich funktionieren soll, damit ist es leider für ein Kind absolut unbrauchbar. Schade drum, so geht der Artikel zurück.

Gift for my just turned 8 year old granddaughter who wants to be a scientist! She enjoyed the microscope right out of the box by looking at her hair, blades of grass and flower petals. I think as she gets older she will enjoy it even more as she works on experiments and discovery on her own.

Pur non esse do un oggetto professionale è un ottimo microscopio. Ottimi anche i contenuti della confezione, in particolare i vetrini che sono in vetro: quelli in altro materiale non sono altrettanto belli. Si trovano inoltre altri materiali da osservare tra cui le uova di artemia salina (il cibo dei fenicotteri rosa). Lo uso in classe con i miei alunni e sono davvero entusiasti.

Get kids easily back into science **see video**.. This plastic microscope is an awesome starter kit with a ton of function and extras. Not only do you get the microscope, you also get the batteries for the light, a dust cover, a great companion book and a huge kit to get them started. We look at all of this in the video. The unit comes totally assembled and ready to use except for the inserting the batteries into the bottom. The cardboard box you really want to make sure to hold on to is in the bottom. It has a large array of tools, slides that are made, brine, multiple objectives and eyepiece, flasks, ready to use specimens and more. Enough to keep the kids busy for hours before they even head outdoors to get their own stuff. Once I opened this and played with the features and included stuff I turned it over to my video game addicted kids. Surprisingly they took to it and went through everything included and even went outside for a while to find stuff. Now you have to keep this handy to keep them interested, but it did make them think of what they could stare at next. The duct cover allows for easy storage and keeping it clean. However we kept everything in the box to not lose any little pieces from the kit. It makes life easier that way. With school coming up I wish they actually used them more there too. But with the right push, this is a great summer and winter fun item when stuck inside. Thanks to Levenhuk for sending this over for discount/free review. It never affects our ratings. This was just a great kit with tons of extras at a great price. And yes I lean a bit towards getting them off of the games all day anyway so I looked forward to this.
