Truefree DS1 earbuds after several weeks of using them daily. The overall build quality immediately stood out. The materials feel solid and well-engineered. The charging case and earbuds themselves feel well designed. The case incorporates a helpful display of charging status. Comfort has also been excellent. The earbuds sit securely without creating pressure or fatigue, even during extended listening sessions. It did take some getting used to the way the earpiece stopped short of the canal. With each use I appreciated them a little more to the point their presence is now barely noticeable. The audio is well-balanced and clear, with good detail across the range and a sense of separation. They perform consistently well across different types of content. Finally, multipoint connection support. The ability to seamlessly switch between devices works smoothly and reliably.

This is my first purchase from Truefree, and I’m writing this review after a solid four months of use. I’ve always been curious about the "open-ear" trend, primarily because traditional earbuds can sometimes feel invasive or cause fatigue during long listening sessions. I decided to give the Truefree DS1 a try, and they have exceeded my expectations for a budget-friendly model. Design and Comfort The open-ear design is a game-changer for situational awareness. Whether I’m walking through the city or working in an office, I can hear my surroundings perfectly while still enjoying my music. After four months, the ear hooks have maintained their shape and remain incredibly lightweight—sometimes I even forget I’m wearing them. Sound and Performance For an open-ear model, the sound is surprisingly crisp. While you won't get the deep, thumping bass found in noise-canceling buds, the mids and highs are clear. It’s perfect for podcasts, audiobooks, and acoustic tracks. However, I'd go to my earbuds and headphones for more immersive sound. Battery and Build Quality The battery life has remained consistent since day one. I typically get through a few days of moderate use before needing to top up the case. Despite being an "affordable" brand, the build quality feels premium and has survived four months of being tossed into my bag without any issues. Verdict: If you’re looking to try open-ear tech without breaking the bank, the DS1 is a reliable, durable, and comfortable choice.

I've been using these pretty heavily for a good 4-months and I can definitely recommend these for my somewhat unusual use case: sleeping with earplugs. I've used them almost nightly atop earplugs, and the volume doesn't need to be turned up all the way to be able to hear. Compared to other more expensive pairs in this use, these are top quality. I'm not normally a fan of over-ear hooks -- feels claustrophobic. Not these -- they really are so comfy you can forget they are there... or side-sleep. I'd say they are normally still attached to my head in the morning if I don't take them off first. The case is actually pretty slick -- you push down on the bottom of the headset and it pivots up making it easy to grab. I have them paired with my phone and PC, and they work seamlessly with the dual connection. The two issues I encountered: * They have a bad habit of waking up randomly in the case. Couple time a week my sound cuts out because they have connected. Simple enough to resolve with a wiggle. Could be mine, could be a bug. * Despite indications otherwise, they do not remember the "Game Mode" setting. This one is definitely a firmware bug -- I have several other truefree sets and the fact that they remember the low latency setting is one of my favorite things about the brand. (I admit it petty to dock a star for it, when most earbuds at this price range don't even have an app... but it's annoying lol) Not all is perfection, but at the $25 price point it's pretty close. These are still fairly new, so I could see these issues easily getting fixed via firmware, and truefree has had great customer support for me in the past. Remain a fan!

These open-ear headphones are great. They are very lightweight, comfortable and easy to put on and the sound quality is very good. I primarily use them for watching television and the clarity of voices and quality of background music and effects is excellent. The headphones charge quickly and last a long time. I can easily get 8 hours of play time with these and 4 charges before the case needs charging. The case has a very nice display that indicates the level of charge in percent and bars for level of charge for each bud. The box is compact and light and charges quickly. The range is also very good, I can usually walk into another room and still be connected to the source and able to hear it well. Switching between sources is easy and the build quality is very solid. These are are great value at this price point and I would highly recommend them based on my experience with them.

Purchased to use for work calls, as I had an older version and the battery started to wear out. The microphone on both ear pieces are unusable, and after several phone calls with multiple people saying they could barely hear me, I had to stop using for phone calls. It’s unfortunate because the new design fit my ear perfectly and they are very comfortable.

Sound quality is pretty good. Connections is fine. But the battery life is pretty bad. They advertise 10 hours and I'm getting closer to 5-6, which is pretty terrible.

This is my second purchase of these headphones. I was so impressed with them that I ordered another pair so I would not have to do without them while charging even though it does not take that long. They are the fifth brand of headphones I have purchased and are so easy to use and the best quality ever. They are excellent for seniors and anyone without technical abilities because you take them out of the box put them on and enjoy. When they need charging you put them in the case and within an hour they are fully charged and ready to go for another 8 hours. I can easily get 8 hours of play time with these and 3-4 charges before the case needs to be charged. The case has a display that indicates the level of charge in percent and bars for level of charge for each bud. I love the sound quality and ease of use. Finally, before buying these when I sat out on my patio outside the back door I got nothing but static from my desktop trying to listen to Sirius music and podcasts so had a radio with a ipod connection. With these headphones I get excellent sound as if I was in the house, with the odd bit of static when I move my head quickly. I have been up to 40 ft from the house and still getting reception.

Prima aankoop. Ik hoor minder goed, maar heb nog geen gehoarapparaat nodig. Alleen sommige frequenties hoor ik minder goed. Met de app Truefree (equalizer -> adaptive) heb ik het apparaat aangepast. Ik hoefde alleen maar aan te geven welke toonhoogtes ik hoor, dus dat ging makkelijk. Nu kan ik podcasts en luisterboeken prima verstaan, waar ik me eerder echt moest concentreren. Verder blijven ze prima op hun plek over het oor zitten. Ze zitten niet in het oor, dus er is minder irritatie. Je voelt ze nauwelijks. Als laatste, ik kan nu overal luisteren naar podcasts zonder dat mensen omkijken. Tot nu toe helemaal tevreden.

At 19.99 these are an absolute bargain. Great, secure ear hold with all day comfort. Great sound. Fairly compact charge case with much appreciated actual charge percentages. I'm charging every other day. I only wish they'd have shown an actual picture of how to fit the additional covers (fit the narrow end to the socket). I lost one by fitting them the wrong way round.

Ich nutze schon sein einigen Jahren kabellose Kopfhörer und bin jetzt bei meinem fünften Paar. Mein letztes Paar waren die Truefree O1 Kopfhörer, mit welchen ich bereits sehr zufrieden war. Leider habe ich irgendwann Probleme mit dem Akku in einem der Kopfhörer bekommen, weswegen ich nach einem neuen Paar suchte. Als ich die truefree EarFit DS1 Kopfhörer vor drei Monaten gekauft habe, war ich ziemlich überrascht. Für einen ähnlichen Preis wie vorherige Kopfhörer, die ich genutzt habe, habe ich Kopfhoerer bekommen, die alle Probleme, welche ich mit den Vorherigen hatte, behoben haben. - Man kann sich mit mehreren Geräten gleichzeitig verbinden (Der Ton läuft trotzdem nur auf dem Gerät, welches momentan etwas spielt), daher muss man nicht zwischen Handy und PC hin und her wechseln. - Die Kopfhörer sind kleiner und setzen besser im Ohr, haben auch meiner Meinung nach trotzdem einen besseren Klang. Die Ladebox ist auch deutlich kleiner und passt besser in die Hosentasche. (Im Bild gibt es eine 1 Euro Münze zum Vergleich) - Der Spielmodus scheint hier sehr gut zu funktionieren. Die Latenzzeit ist sehr gering und der Ton spielt ohne Abbrüche. - Das Pairing zu neuen und vorhanden Geräten erfolgt schnell und reibungslos. - Obwohl die Kopfhörer Open-Ear sind, drängt der Ton nicht bemerkbar nach außen, außer man stellt den Ton auf die maximale Lautstärke. Damit kann ich die Kopfhörer auch im Büro nutzen, ohne die Anderen zu stören. Insgesamt gefallen mir die Kopfhörer sehr und ich würde sie weiterempfehlen.

With my addiction to headphones and earbuds I was keen to try the new Trufree product. First thing I notice it that they are ascetically pleasing. The case has a nice texture that looks good and is functional was it is easy to grip and hold on to. Easy to fit into your pocket. The led display of the remaining battery is much nicer (and useful) that a few red dots. The fit is good for my ears. As they are not lodged deep in my ears they are very comfortable to wear for hours. They are light enough that you don't notice you are wearing them. The bluetooth connection is very quick and easy. I love that I can connect them to my phone and to my iPad simultaneously . The sound is great, good base. For the price point they punch much above their weight. Looks like my new favourite earbuds for now!
