I recently ordered a replacement battery for a Samsung phone which is used by an OAP (senior citizen) somehow I ordered 2 by mistake as it was not that much I never asked the OAP for the cost of these batteries as their phone is sort of a link to the outside world.Anyway the batteries arrived promptly which was great as the original Samsung battery was seeing the years and could not run for more than a few hours.Upon opening the package the batteries where packed in a small plastic pouch with wording advising about eco friendly etc. I quickly placed battery in phone to charge. After about 3hrs I tried to power on the phone No Joy I then tried the other battery and started to charge about an hour later tried phone still no power.Upon reading the pouch it advised that you need to charge at least 24hrs, I reluctantly followed instructions, as from my experience charging too long can cause overcharging damage.The next day I tried the phone still no power.Not sure if these so called Genuine Batteries are Genuine or are they refurbished as the original despite it being 5yrs old apart from charge life is still working.I looked at the text and labelling comparing to original there is some slight variation, but I am not sure if I a permitted to submit a photo for comparison.So to be honest I don't think these batteries are worth it will continue looking26-Oct 2020:Company contacted me and asked me for details of phone I was using, sent pictures of phone model and original battery info.They replied asking me to return faulty units with prepaid envelope this is good, will see how it goes and update review as case continues...4th Nov 2020:Unfortunately my area had no postal box so I took it to the local post office, they refused to take it saying that the postage is not covered by the prepaid return label.They further questioned asking what it was,.Advised that it is illegal to post lithium batteries in they post which is not fitted in their devices, spent about 2 minutes saying that is a replacement battery and they don't come with phones as its for a very old phone which is used by a senior citizen, nope will not accept.So long story short try to obtain replacement batteries locally that way if they don't work you can call over, these are not worth it even if it was roughly about 10 pound something.

Bought the item under this heading for what seemed like a reasonable price for a Samsung battery, given that the price being asked was roughly half what the (cheap) phone it was for cost originally.When the battery arrived, it looked like the genuine Samsung article, as stated here. It was also sealed in a little plastic bag.What it definitely was not was NEW.The gold contacts on the end showed signs of scratching / scuffing, a clear sign that the battery had previously been used. When I put it in the phone, the phone would not try to charge it at all. When I checked, I found that the battery was so completely flat that it had no standing voltage on its terminals at all, and under those circumstances a standard Li-Ion charging circuit will not try to charge the battery.I put it into a specialised Li-Ion tester / rejuvenator unit and it did come back to life very slowly - it then charged for about one and a half hours before the charger declared it fully charged. After that, I put it in the phone and it does work, although the battery life is about 40% less than the battery life was with the original battery was when it was new.This also suggests that this battery is second-hand.The supplier Amazon directs you to for this item may vary on a day to day basis or even an hourly basis, so you may not get yours from the same supplier that I did....But what I will say is this: The Item description header does not state that the item is new, and the seller may try to make something of that if you feel you have been sold a battery which is not brand new. However, the product description further down does state that the item is brand new. If you are sold a battery which you don't think is new (scuff marks on the gold terminals on the end, poor battery life) then consider filing a complaint with Amazon.

Does the job it was intended to do, early days yet to pass on anymore comments, at first I thought the battery was at fault on my mobile , after buying the battery I found out it was the phone was faulty, so I had to purchase a new phone, ( so the battery is now spare as it does not fit my new mobile )

I have now got use of my 20+ year mobile phone! Hurray!

This works. We have an old laptop that needs charging constantly and we have been through countless leads that never seem to connect properly. In the end we bought this new battery and it holds the charge for longer but, ultimately, we simply need a new laptop!
