Did not enjoy is as much as The Tropic of Cancer.

I bought it because I thought it was an American Classic that I had missed. I think its popularity was only the fact that it had been banned. If the book is semi autobiographical Henry Miller is a man I would not have liked.

different early stuff before it's time

This is definately adult only reading. I had read it in my 20's but wanted to read it one more time. Very adult reading.

So many of these "Classics" are outdated and make you feel like you got ripped off and wasted your time reading them. Like Moby Dick, ToC will leave you feeling, "Wow. They must really not have had anything better to do back then to bother wasting their time reading this tripe. I would rather do laundry or check the air pressure in my car tires than read this." You'll see...
