Mrs. Fearnow's Delicious Brunswick Stew With Chicken

A cult classic for a reason
I saw on reddit that a ton of people from a specific region listed this as a favorite, so I bought some to try it. While I didn't grow up with it, I can see why it has such a dedicated following!

I used to live in NC and used to love Brunswick stew but haven't seen it since I moved up north so I thought I would try this. First of all, 20 ounces is just barely above a standard 15oz can of soup. For some reason I thought this was a larger big family size can, it is not. I wanted to return it but because it is a "grocery item" I couldn't return it. So I ate my $12.00 can of stew. Opinion? Not good at all. Definitely had lots of corn, heavy tomato base but if there was chicken it was emulsified where it was unrecognizable. Overall, not a great experience and I feel like a fool for spending $12 on a small can of stew. I should have spent the time looking up authentic recipes, what was I thinking?!!

Way overpriced!
Love the stew, not the price. Found the very same thing at Walmart for a little over $3 a can. I love Amazon but won’t be buying stew here.

A Favorite
Growing up in North Carolina, I first ate Mrs. McFearnow's Brunswick Stew over 50 years ago. After moving to Kansas, it was not that easy to get. Trips back "home" found me at the local stores stocking up on NC barbeque and Mrs. McFearnow's stew before heading west.I willing paid $12.55 for this one 20 oz can! It was just as fabulous as always but I have to find a more economical way to buy it in the future.Over the years, occasionally the chicken was very tough and hard and I had to avoid eating the chicken. I am glad to say that the chicken is this can was tender and very good.

Brunswick stew tastes great
I have liked the taste of Brunswick stew for years. It was popular in my home town. Mrs Fearnow does a wonderful job making this. I try to keep several cans on the shelf at all times.

BLANDEST BRUNSWICK STEW EVER!!
I was SO disappointed in this Brunswick stew.It was so bland, very little flavor. I had to add seasoning and some fajita chicken to it to make it edible for my taste. It does not taste like any Brunswick stew I've had. THEY JUST DO SOME VEGETABLES AND VERY LITTLE MEAT IN AND CALLED IT BRUNSWICK STEW. NOT!!I will not EVER buy this again!!

PERFECT !!
The taste and quality are tops. I ONLY use "MRS FEARNOW'S" Brunswick Stew. I have a supply on hand at all times. The PERFECT "snack" when you "don't want to cook".

Outrageously expensive for a so so product.
Almost $18 for a can of so so slop. Shop around, other vendors are way way way cheaper.
