Paper Bag Princess Mini

total waste of money. not a book but low quality paper pieces stapled togther to form a tiny pamplet
The story is a classic one, So I ordered it for my 6 year old daughter. But I was totally disappointed seeing the printed version. It is as good as tiny pamphlet with a few pieces of tiny papers stapled together to call it a book. It cannot be called a children's book, but a cheap pamphlet in its current print version. I wonder why some good printing people make a decent book based on the story and publish it as a children's book . But the one by this sellers is a total waste of money for 130 rs price + 70 rs postage = total 200 wasted.I wish i had read the reviews before ordering it.

Avoid This Book
Wish I could give this a negative rating, but one is the lowest Amazon has. This is the tiniest book I have ever seen: smaller than the smallest pocket book that I have seen, smaller than the tiniest pamphlet I have seen. It is a travesty to sell something like this online. While the storyline is nice, the writing style is pathetic, boring and matter-of-fact. The illustrations are good but of such a small size that children will not be attracted to it.

This tiny size is ridiculous!! IT IS NOT A BOOK. IT IS A PAMPHLET written up for tiny gnomes. Seriously, I can't imagine anyone deciding to print a children's book this small.

Disappointed
Extremely disappointed...it should have been mentioned about the size of book...not more than 5×5 cm...

Bad Copy
The storyline is good but the size of the book is smaller than your palm. The dimensions are not of the original book

Small size.
I did not notice the size of the book. It’s ridiculously small. Probably 2 inch square. What a rip off.

Fantastic message
I purchased this for my 3 year old as I remember reading it when I was little. I had forgotten what an incredible message this has, a strong, brave princess rescues the prince and figures out that appearances are absolutely not everything. A brilliant read and an important message for both boys and girls.

I thought this would better.
I wanted a book for my niece where the girl isn't passive. However I felt it made the boy look like a wimp and I didn't feel that making the girl look good should be at the expense of the boy - which to me seemed a bit like the same bias only the other way round. Next time I will go to a bookshop and read before I buy.

Not just for girls!
This book is fantastic, the message in it is clear. I have read many reviews on this (prior to buying) which say this is a must read for girls. I'd say indeed it is, but equally so for our sons to read. The message is clear and doesn't have to be genderised. The value of a person is in their actions not in their attire or social position.

Fantastic story.
Bought for my daughter who loved it but lost her original copy from when she was younger. Fantastic, funny story. Princess Elizabeth is a good role model for little girls: she's fierce, brave, clever and knows her worth. A feminist princess! At 13, my daughter now appreciates that side of the story but when she was little she loved it just because the princess calls the Prince a bum!

Funny little book and kids love the bum mention!
The kids in my year 2 class loved this book. We used it for a 2 week English block. Suspect main reason they liked it was the word ‘bum’ on the last page though!

Fab book for young girls
I wish that thanks to this book and others like this one girls like my daughter will grow up to be strong, have their own opinion and be happy. Reading the same book over and over before bed can be tiring, but this one always makes me chuckle.

What every girl should know
My kind of book. My 5 year son questioned the unconventional ending but cheered for the protagonist! Great book. No issue with delivery or package.

My son loves this book
We're trying to fill our kids' book shelves with a diversity of stories. My son thinks this book is hilarious and completely understands the message it sends. A great little read.

My class love this story
My class love this story. It has all the hallmarks of a classic fairy tale with a twist at the end. I've used it to plan a 2 week teaching sequence, with book response, drama, story mapping and re telling, writing in role ( Prince Ronald writes a letter of apology to Princess Elizabeth) then finally innovating and writing a new story. The only downside is that it contains the word bum as an insult, which I had to change to idiot for the purposes of my lessons. Useful for discussing personal relationships eg appearance isn't everything. A good story.

Buy the paper book NOT the kindle version.
I love this book and always have a copy to read to my class , the school, the Godchildren, neighbours children. It's fun but has a great message about loyalty, gratitude and perseverance....you name it its a versatile bookHowever beware the last line is the key to the whole book and the kindle version has the words " you are a bum" which doesn't work for me as working or reading to children. The book version is much better "you are a toad". Do please read....it's a classic.

fun story for young children
Great story, bought it for a 4 yr old girl as I remember enjoying it when I was younger and fulfills her need for princesses and my need to give her strong female role models! Fun story that still makes me smile :)

Brilliant!
A lovely story about a brave and independent princess who saves her prince... It also teaches that appearances are not that important, but actions are. My daughter loved the story and we read it over and over again.

Small copy of a fantastic book - This is a fantastic book and I have bought this several times as gifts. This one was the smallest copy I have ever seen so it looked like a bit of a measly light-weight gift. Guess it's my own fault for not reading the dimensions - there are larger more impressive copies out there that you should consider as an alternative.

I bought this for my cousin's Christmas present, (even though it arrived in March), after reading it I was very impressed, it turned the story on its head, and gave a strong female character, something I think all young girls should read.
