A lovely story of a difficult life for a child who was born different at a time when differences were feared a lot more than they are now.

Mesmerizing
The account is livid and at times sensational. People who were bullied in their school times would definately relate to many parts of the book. And people like me who still feels a catholic guilt every time they break a rule will also relate to it.

I laughed, cried & worried with Sam. Loved this book. I read in 3 sittings. It’s a roller coaster experience

Dedicated to " boat rocker" moms, and strong quiet dad's!
I love the fact that each of Dugoni's novels are different. This novel definitely leaves you wishing for a mother like Sam Hill's mother, and if you have one such, then you will count your blessings. You will probably wish for the quiet strength of Sam's father. As always,one can relate to each character, and enjoy the novel to the end!

Nice read...
Although not a story of extraordinary events, it is story of those people who lives life optimistically despite the regular obstacles and moves forward. It is a soft story with a sweet ending. Enjoyed reading it.

A book for Hope
Such a poignant, heartfelt story. it is hard not to empathize with the protagonist but more so with the hidden characters of his family, primarily his mum. Ultimately it writes to prove that 'Hope does not disappoint' and prayers are never wasted.

Fantastic book
A deep emotion about the bonding between a family and friends is on display here. Discrimination is inevitable in today’s world and this book brings that aspect of life in an unexplainable form. The maturity with which Sam hell takes his life along is very realistic.

Wonderful story!
