Really don't need oil.
We are so glad we bought this. We use it a lot more than we imagined we would. It's true that you don't need oil, which amazes me. It doesn't seem to even get dirty. Happy with this item.

Experience after 3 month use.
The coating started deteriorating after 3 months use. Previously cheaper ones used to work for at least a year. I would say the manufacturer should look into this issue.
