Perfect replacement charger. Charges my old Lenovo like a dream!

Working as expected.

I took a chance that this would work with the T550 Thinkpad that I had lost the charger to. I say "a chance" because the T550 is not specifically called out in Amazon's product title. However I noticed that the product photos *did* list T550 compatibility. And the specs were correct, i.e. So... I ordered it. It's a competent charger. It got a little warm charging my depleted Thinkpad af first. But past that first use, it seems to stay cool enough just maintaining the battery while plugged in. Certification-wise: it's not safety-certified by UL or other similar authorities (which is the reason I'm giving it 4 rather than 5 stars). The certification symbols on the charger follow a customary practice of "self-certification" for regulatory purposes. The warning label contains the odd statement that "this device may not cause harmful interference". But that's kind of overridden by the (self-certificated) FCC declaration which would mean that the device *does not* cause harmful interference, so .... shrugs. Despite the fact that it is certification-lite, the build quality of its parts - AC and DC cords, AC plug, strain relievers, ferrite choke, slim-tip connector, and brick adapter -- all appear solid and I feel safe using it since it stays both quiet and cool when charging. Misc: I appreciate the pre-attached velcro strip for cord containment. That's always better than adding an after market one.

Great replacement for the OEM chargers. It fits perfectly into my computer and functions just as well as the original charger. Cheaper than buying from Lenovo.

I was skeptical that a smaller 65W charger would keep my laptop charged up, especially while running multiple apps. I often work on my laptop continuously for many hours, so a charger needs to keep up with my use plus a little more to have a positive net charge going on. In the past sometimes the lower wattage chargers have not been enough. This charger surprised me by keeping my battery at a full 100% even while running multiple tabs in two browser windows, streaming video (low res), and couple minor apps as well. I tried to push it at one point by adding an external DVD drive and watching a movie. This required not just spinning the disc but running a separate app for playing DVDs. Still this charger an hour into the movie had kept the battery at 100%. Impressive. Beyond that, the cord and the brick seem of very high quality despite the low price of this product, currently thirteen bucks. This is also a great charger when on the go since it is compact and lightweight to pack. The one caveat I have is that an extension cord is best avoided. When I first tried this charger it couldn't keep up, but that was on about 20 feet of 16-gauge extension cord, which also was running a room fan. Many people don't know that extension cords can be bottlenecks that drop voltages. If this charger isn't working well on an extension cord then try a much heavier/shorter extension cord or no extension cord. For me this change made all the difference, from a poor performing product to a champion performer.

I dug an old ThinkPad out of storage a little while ago but couldn't find the original power cord for it. I grabbed this one hoping it would be a compatible replacement, and it worked really well. The laptop recognized the charger immediately and started charging without any errors. The yellow square tip is a perfect fit, and the power brick itself doesn't seem to get overly warm during use. It's just a solid, functional charger that does exactly what it needs to do. It's great to get this old machine up and running again. Pros: - Worked perfectly on an old ThinkPad - Recognized by the laptop immediately - Secure plug fit - Doesn't seem to get too hot Cons: - None so far. I'm just happy to have a reliable charger that brought an old machine back to life. It's a great replacement cord that works as advertised.
