Nice manageable projects, but a tad dated.
I bought this book for a total of £2.29 including postage, so it was a must buy really. While it is an older cross stitching book (1994), some the content is still relevant today, but there are a lot of vintage and traditional designs. These are quaint enough to use to teach children. Obviously, there are lots of more modern designs available elsewhere. But these designs would come in handy for a vintage piece or a traditional sampler, or even just learning technique. The charts are easy to follow, and are also enlarged, so are easy to see. The colour guides are for DMC threads, but it is easy enough to colour match as there is an image of the completed, stitched piece alongside the charts to refer to. There are some guides on how to cross stitch at the back, but these aren't the simplest, so I would recommend that if you are a beginner, you should watch a quick youtube tutorial on cross stitching first of all.

An extremely useful resource!!
This book is a truly excellent resource. The designs are clear and what is awesome is that what the finished design will look like is shown next to the pattern on the page. You don't get this in other cross stitch pattern books that I have bought but you do with this one. I found this so helpful.

Excellent book
I'm really pleased with this book. It is ideal for my project that I am doing. I'm embroidering new hankichiefs with a small cross stitch and then selling them for charity. I'v got so many orders for them.

Great for your cross-stitch library !
An excellent book full of good designs and clearly presented. Ideal for a beginner but plenty of ideas for the more experienced. Good layout and easy to follow. Inspires ideas of your own too.
