A Must Read !
Title : The Serpentโs Revenge Author : Sudha Murthy Genre : Mythology Pages : 181 Publisher : Penguin Rating : 5 / 5 My Review : We are very much aware of the epic tale : Mahabharata but are oblivious to numerous episodes which occurred before and after this magnanimous war. Hence, this book gives us an elaborate understanding of various incidents that led to the war (Mahabharata) and how the deeds of various Warriors and Kings had an adverse effect on the lives of their successors. I wonโt be listing out my favourite stories as each and every tale in this book will either present a lesson for life or surprise you with itโs plot and climax. You really need to be wise enough to understand the crux, certain tales has to offer, for the growth of your spiritual being. Sudha Murthy never fails to amaze itโs readers with her magnificent stories and seamlessly perfect writing skills. The language is simple yet elegant and convincing at the same time. Owing to this reason, she is one of my favourite authors of all time. Guys, just read this book and Iโm sure you will thank me later.

Well written and engaging book
I loved this book! I'm so happy that kids at a young age can read this book and know more about Mahabharata and mythology. Some of the stories are known ones, but some are refreshing. Knowing mythology is one thing, but knowing the right things matters. This book is a collection of such short stories from 'The Mahabharata' and I'm so so happy my son is reading such books. Sudha Murthy ma'am has a way of weaving stories in a beautiful way. Overall, a beautiful read. P.S. For those who have read or seen Mahabharata few stories are known.

Engaging stories
A fine collection of some of the unknown stories from Mahabharata. Stories are very engaging and helps you understand Mahabharata from a different perspective, like why certain characters in Mahabharata died in certain ways? Understanding of why Mahabharata happened in the first place. Connection of Mahabharata with present times is also mentioned in some chapters. All in all it's a fine book for Mahabharata lovers. Read it if you are one without hesitation.
