Sturdy, Well-Made, and My Dog Absolutely Loves It!
I am extremely happy with the TRIXIE Natura Classic Dog House. From the moment I opened the box, I could tell this was a quality product. The pieces were well-made, clearly labeled, and surprisingly easy to put together. I had it fully assembled much faster than expected, and everything fit together solidly without any hassle. The weatherproof sealer is a huge plus — you can feel the durability in the wood, and it already seems like a dog house that will last for many years. The hinged roof is another great feature, making it super easy to open up the top for cleaning or adding bedding. Thoughtful design all the way around. But the real test? My dog loves it. She walked right in, turned around, and settled like it was her own little cabin retreat. The size is perfect, with plenty of room for her to stretch out comfortably. It keeps her shaded, protected, and cozy no matter the weather. If you’re looking for a dog house that’s sturdy, attractive, easy to assemble, and built to last, this one checks every box. Highly recommend — both my dog and I are very happy with it!

Awesome well built dog house.
This is a great house for the price. I wanted something on the cheaper end but the quality is perfect. It was so easy to put together and my dog loves it. It is nice and heavy so it won't get blown over or tip when they sit on top. The wood smells great and was such nice quality. It has held up through the wind rain and sun. Super stable for the dog to jump on, but the roof could be hot on their paws if it is not under a covering. Built with Great materials.

Good for the price!
There are a lot of mixed reviews on this product so I felt obligated to post my two cents. This dog house is everything you would expect for a $130 product. We were considering building our own but when we calculated the cost of materials we were already in excess of $150 and we would have spent an entire weekend building it. Pros: I purchased this in the XL for my 60lb pitbull and my 25lb corgi mix to share and it is plenty spacious for them. It is attractive looking and sturdy enough for them to bound in and out of it without it breaking. The hinged top is awesome, and the removable floor is sweet too. I really like that it's up off the ground so it won't get all wet in the weather. It only took about an hour to assemble and was very straightforward. They both went right in and took a nap, so I think they approve. It also smells nice. Cons: I had to stain it to weatherproof, but I painted it to match my house so it looks great. The wood is very thin and somewhat flimsy and I suspect that I will need to put some effort into insulating it further if the pups are going to stay warm in it this winter. The floor is a thin material and I'm almost certain that I'll have to replace it at some point. The hinge arms that hold the top together are total junk and I threw them out instead of installing them. The hinges on the back of the roof are pre-installed, but there are these arms that are supposed to prevent it from opening too far and snapping off, fortunately mine is up against the wall of my garage so it don't need the arms to ensure it doesn't fall open. In summary, if you're looking for a dog house that's as sturdy as a human house or if you have a really large destructive dog I wouldn't buy this product. If you're looking for a reasonably priced dog house and you're willing to put some effort into making it weatherproof and insulated then this is a great product.

easy to assemble. I think this house shouldn't cost more than $80
Beautiful dog house, and really big and spacious. I have a 20-pound Schnauzer and an 8-pound Chihuahua, I bought the size M house and it's quite large for both of them; I can put their food and water inside. The wood feels quite light, like the kind of wood I could break with my leg. It has very nice finishes, but my son was touching the roof with his fingernails and pieces were coming off. As you can see in the picture, there are gaps in the floor; the boards should be closer together so that air doesn't get in. The roof doesn't have holes for screwing in the beams, so it's a bit confusing, but you have to do it as close to the edge as possible. I put insulation inside so that when I'm not home they can stay warm. I'm going to put a super big bed in there with their stuffed animals and a vinyl door to prevent cold air from coming in. I might also buy them an electric heater. I paid $122 for this size M house and I think it's worth it for those of us who want to build a dog house but don't have the tools. I just wish the wood was harder and more durable. The design is super nice and sophisticated. In some places, the wood has little cracks, and if you screw it in incorrectly, you can break the wood. If you have only one small or medium-sized dog, or two medium-sized dogs, the size M house is suitable. I think this house shouldn't cost more than $80.

Built like crap, but can be "beefed" up if you have the tools and patience.
I don't usually go out of my way to leave a review unless something is really great or really bad. I would put this dog house in the really bad category. I got the thing to assemble/work, but it took zip ties, glue, and my dremel to make it happen. First off the dog house came damaged. The outside of the box looked fine, so I'm left to assume the internal packaging is insufficient for the cheapness of the wood used. The wood which holds the hinges and locks into the back of the dog house split and the screws for the hinges ripped out on one side. No big deal I said, crap happens. Pulled the wood apart further, used wood glue, and 3 zip ties and it was stronger than new. Now when I went to put together the thing a day later (glue had to cure), I was met with further issues. The side panels of the dog house were not flush. The side slats stuck over the end support stud. This is just pure crappy quality control. There was no way to get this side attached because it made the bolts too short, plus it would have a 1/4" gap allowing water in. No big deal I busted out my dremel and sanded down side slats that stuck over. Finally, I got this together just to be met with the hinge screws being insufficient to hold the hinges in the wood. This was the side that I did not repair. The wood is simply too soft and the screws are tiny. No problem, I used the extra screws included that were larger to attach the hinges better into the base. I have no idea how long this lid is going to stay attached since the wood used for this dog house is cedar, but feels like cheap balsa wood (way too soft and thin). This just reeks of poor design and compromises that shouldn't have been made to meet the price. After fixing up the lid I dropped in the flooring to see that it was the cheapest, flimsiest PoS ever. I could easily break the floor with my hands. They have some extra supports but I have no idea if my 75lb dog is going to be able to step on these w/o breaking them. My dog is currently not in the mood to use the dog house. So I'll wait on beefing up the bottom with additional support until later. But I full expect I'll need to do that. In summary, this dog house is poorly designed, poorly packaged. They cut every corner possible to sell you a cedar dog house that will stay together for about 5min before breaking. Yes you can modify it and use power tools to get it to work. So I'm keeping it as returning it is a non option. However if you want something that is just build and go, this will not work. I'm rating it 1 star because it's honestly the biggest piece of crap I have bought on amazon in over 10 years (I buy a lot of stuff). However, hopefully it will keep my dog warm and dry once fall comes. If it leaks I'll culk it, if it breaks I re-enforce it. So pretty much you are buying something that is the shape of the dog house but will require additional adhesive, screws, support, etc to make it last. So make your own decision if you can live with that. In the ~$100-150 price range there weren't a lot of options for large dogs. I would have paid $200+ for something more durable, but I couldn't find anything until $400+.

Perfect!
I just needed something quick, simple, and high quality for my pup and this actually delivered. The instructions were a bit hard to parse and the advice they give for assembly didn't work for me. What worked best was to just put the house upside down on top of the roof (without the floor), mark all the screw holes, and then assemble the hinge that way instead of doing it the strange way the instructions tell you to. Then put the floor in last, since the roof opens and you can just drop the floor in. Once we figured out how to put it together the easiest way, it was smooth sailing. It took maybe an hour to throw it together and my dog seems to like it. It's very sturdy and it's got a nice pine smell that should deter bugs. It comes stained and with a proper shingle roof. It looks nice on the porch and seems like it'll last for quite a few years, plus the top is only slightly angled and can be used as a table if you have a small space and need your furniture to multi-task. The 40.75x26.75x28.25 is the perfect size for my 60lb Blue Heeler mix and her favorite Ikea outdoor mat. She'll get a lot of use out of it in the fall and I'll get her a heated outdoor mat. (We don't make her stay outside, she just wants to.)

Not suitable for windy weather
I think if you have a lightweight dog or are going to add a hasp and turn this into a rabbit hutch or chicken coop. Then this is a good product. I’m not gonna say great. The hinges are very flimsy, the wind blew the roof up and bent the hinges that make the top able to stay open significantly. And since the hinges are attached to the wood sides the wood on one side has completely cracked and split open. I do want to say I’m reviewing this item based on the parts and its outdoor “weather resistant” capability as it is advertised as a weather proof dog house. I did not use this item as a dog house, I actually used it for my roosters for their coop. And all in all set up was easy though there was no worded explanation on the instruction manual. But I did have to add things to it even before the wind blew the roof off and broke it. For example the floor panels, when I put them in there was a HUGE gap in between them. And the fact that a large dog would have broken this dog house, their nails could have gotten stuck in the gap, and for a smaller dog their paw could have gotten stuck. So we had to add our own wood at the bottom to cover the gap. And ya considering the wind broke it I would not advise anyone who is looking for a great weather proof dog house for the outside where you have extreme weather to purchase this product. Maybe if you live somewhere that doesn’t have extreme weather changes, not a lot of rain or wind. Then it would be fine as long as you know that you will have to probably put a bed or piece of wood over the floor at the bottom. I honestly wish I would have boughten a hasp lock for the roof and screwed it in so the roof wouldn’t fly open in the wind. That’s something I think the company should offer though considering it’s made to be an outdoor dog house if you have a roof that can open you should always include a hasp lock. My personal opinion. I hope this helps someone out for future reference. Would I buy this again? Probably but definitely not for a dog house and I would definitely have plans to add hardware to this product before purchasing.

Its worth its price
I purchased this dog house to convert into a duck house. I did make some improvements, however for the price i got a really good start. *Upon unboxing, i noticed the piece with hinges was broken in half. The box it shipped in was in great condition so unsure how it happened but i used some wood glue to fix it. Problem solved. *Assembly took me less than an hour. It was very straightforward, all my holes lined up evenly enough. I assembled it alone. The wood had several gaps throughout ( Sides, bottom, corners) I used paintable white caulking meant for exterior windows to plug all gaps. I caulked each board on the bottom both top and bottom and also the sides. This made it extremely sturdy, at this point i was able to use a hand truck to move it around *I wanted to make it completely waterproof so i used some black truck bed liner on the inside. i did several coats *i needed to make ventilation so i added a 2" round plastic vent on each side and caulked it in, then painted the entire outside roof included i have had it outside for four months at this point, it is holding up extremely well. I added a small piece of wood to trap the bedding inside because they kept spilling out the bedding and that seemed to fix the problem. one of the hinges broke almost immediately, i removed it and have been using just the right side , it still functions the same. i do anticipate having to replace the hinges at some point but thats a very menial task I would recommend this dog house, however you just need to add a little tlc to improve it. Our ducks and geese use it every night (we have three cayuga ducks and three brown chinese geese and they fit very snugly with the male geese at the entrance protecting the others)

Molto bella e robusta
I cani stanno ancora studiando!
