Great Bag for specific purposes. Not Waterproof!
I have had this bag for about 5 years. I've abused this bag just as much as one could abuse a piece of equipment. I bought it much cheaper and in that, I figured I could rough it up and pick up another one when it broke. However, it never broke so here I am writting about it.I take this bag camping off of the beaches of the FL everglades in Chokoloskee island park. Holds rope and tools that I don't mind getting wet/sandy. It's not dry, so don't expect it to be. There is a velcro opening on the ass-end of the bag. Makes it easy to get in and out of I guess, but I dont use it much. Planning on buying another bag to use at the gun range. It's great if you use it for what it's intended for: Rope and tools.Update: 4/23/2013Thing wont break. Still a solid little bag in my eyes. I may do a youtube review when I get the chance. I remember when I bought this bag, I was debating on getting a maxpedition instead, but decided for a small ultility bag, I couldn't beat the price at the time and couldn't justify buying a $70 bag just to keep as a utility bag. It's no where the fabric strength of a maxpedition, but as of late, I am not impressed with Maxpedition's stitching jobs. On my second return in under 7 months for the same bag.I gave 5 stars because of its reliability, price point, molle compatible on both sides, size, and multi-functional. I didn't knock off a star for lack of waterproofing, becuase it's not intended to be waterproof or water-resistant. So no need bashing a product for something it shouldn't be used for.

Fits 150 feet of 11.4mm NFPA "Assault Line"
It fits the super rope that I paid too much to feel good about (I paid to feel good - it's rope, that's what you do). 150 feet of 11.4 NFPA rope - best static rope there is in my meaningless opinion. Also fits 4 GOOD 12kN carabiners on the rope in a deployable configuration (alpine loop anchor with redundant on the figure-eight).My setup is heavy - I wanted a thicker rope, I got it.Could rig a way to strap it to my leg if I wanted to be super tacticool but as it is, it's rather heavy and quite solid. Can't get my harness into it with all that rope.It sure is neat though!

nice small rope bag
I keep 200 ft of rope and a 5:1 pully set up in the bag with other accessories attached to the exterior. works well.

Can hold more rope than 150'
Have a 100' 10mm rope feeding out and a 50' rope in the bag. Likely could hold another 50'. The extra steel beaners were appreciated, put em to use.

Perfect
Holds all the equipment I use for rappelling other than my harness and i can tie it off and toss it over the side of the cliff and be rappelling in under a minute

11.4 mm Rope less than 100' (Maybe)
I don't see more than 100' of 11.4mm rope fitting in this bag without a shoehorn, some serious lubrication and a running start (as in, from across the street, dead sprint, head first). It should be at least a third bigger to be worth being called a "tactical" rope bag. On the plus side, it has loops on the outside to hang crap off of. A 9mm rope, 150', might fit, if it is coaxed in from a height.

Shove it in there
The media could not be loaded. I like the features. It's tacticool. Will it hold up to abuse? I'll find out! I was able to get 60m/180ft of 10mm semi-static in tight, and 40m/120ft of 9mm semi static no prob, nice and roomy. I wanted this as rope storage pre-trip (post-trip I'll have nasty muddy rope that will need cleaning and I'm sure the 10mm/60m would be a beast to get back in the bag dirty... 9mm/40m might fit).I can see this bag being WAY too small for hard core caving static rope in 10/11mm+.One thing I did ASAP upon unboxing was to take a lighter to the interior rough edges and the zipper ends to sort of seal those edges from further fraying. Otherwise, zipper is solid. D rings are metal. Not a bad little lightweight tacticool bag to try out.

Out of the box and bag, seems to be sturdy material.
Was able to stuff 60.96m (200ft) x 11.2mm brand new climbing rope in the bag. Just had to be patient, and "massage" the rope in slowly. Bag has loops on either end of the full zippered top to attach a shoulder strap to it. With that, my only complaint would be that the bag didn't come with a shoulder strap for carrying. Some scrap rope will cure that problem.
