Large Authentic Mexican Blankets Serape Blanket 84" X 60" (Pick Your Color) Pattern Might Vary Slightly (Royal Blue) Zarape

Really very happy with this blanket. I bought it to cover up sun-faded seats in my cruiser. To answer a few questions I had about then that I didn't see fully answered here: Size- Close to 5'x8'. A little under but not by much. Within acceptable limits for everything but an exact 5x8 fit. Thickness: About as thick as my polo shirt (heavy weave, not the thin breathable ones), maybe a shade less. Does admit a modest amount of light through the light-colored sections, less than a teeshirt, more than a polo. Color: Bright bright bright! Looks great. I bought the all-blues ones. The light blue looks turquoise in the picture, I find it closer to cyan in the sunlight. That will vary though from batch to batch. The two I bought do appear identical. Overall? Not bad at all. Price is on the upper end of what I would want to pay for them but it's definitely not left me feeling like it was too much. Net result, happy with them! Follow-up edit, 2 years on. The blankets have survived well. 5000 miles of being sat on, washed 3 times in that period. Where the sun has been on them the black has faded a little but the blues are still vibrant. Where I sit, the fabric is pilled up and beginning to thin, but not holed. Good value? Absolutely.

I got this particular blanket to use in the back seat of my truck, to protect the seat when my dog is riding back there. I chose this color because my truck is orange and I love the way it looks with the rest of the vehicle. I have bought a number of serape type blankets over the years, and this one is what I would describe as thicker and larger than most. I did have some trouble with the delivery, as I was originally sent someone else's order by mistake, and so I had to return that before they would release the one I actually ordered. But if my only complaint is that I had to make a quick run by the UPS store, I should probably consider myself lucky. Overall really happy with the blanket and will buy again from this supplier when I need another serape.

We have a bunch of thicker, authentic Mexican blankets that we use for the beach, camping, tailgating etc. in short, we're not easy on them. This one is a little on the thin side but the colors are comparatively bright and vibrant. We used it for four days of beach camping before washing it, then it went into the washer and dryer, (machine wash cold water, dry on low heat - it didn't shrink that we noticed) and it survived intact with a nice, soft "broken in" feel, it came out good, even the fringe which at first seems a bit fragile, didn't fray (first wash also filled the lint trap). Now it's in our indoor/outdoor Mexican blanket rotation for as long as it lasts, but it's holding up well so far. So it's a little too thin to use as a cold weather blanket, but of decent quality and makes a nice decorative piece for spreading over the back of the couch too, for the $20 bucks we paid for it we're satisfied, we might even buy another one...

This beautiful serape blanket is meant for a gift to my wife's sister in South America. After it arrived the sheer quality and the intense colors were most impressive, and my wife, who tens to be quite critical by nature, couldn't say enough positive things about it, e.g., the nice size, the feel in hand, the outstanding colors, etc. We would definitely recommend a serape like this as a special gift to a special person, or as a highly decorative and tasteful item as a home decoration. I have a feeling that it is not the last serape blanket my wife is going to purchase!

I love how nice this is as a blanket, but it can also be used in so many ways just to add some brightness to your home. The fabric looks thick and itchy, but it is neither of those. It is lightweight but just warm enough. The colors are vibrant and gorgeous. I love having this in my home, as it is just another piece of my home décor that expresses my cultural pride. My only problem is that it's a little short, but they gave the measurements in the description, so that's really my fault.

I purchased this blanket as a cover to protect my couch from our lounging doggo. The color is really pretty and adds a fun pop of design to the room. It's plenty big enough to cover the seat cushions and back cushions on an Ikea Ektorp. It washes nicely without any color bleed. The only issue is that the weave picks fairly easily. After just a few days of use, the doggo's nails had created at least 2 picks in the blanket. After a week, there were many more. It's a great blanket, it just doesn't work for the particular use I had in mind.

I know some have said this is really light - yes, it is. However, as long as you know that, this is a beautiful blanket. The colors are vibrant and the quality is excellent - it just won't keep you warm during a cold Minnesota night :) If you live somewhere where the nights don't get so cold, I think it will be awesome! Truly, the colors are exactly as represented, and it's great. FYI - I haven't washed it yet so I don't know how it will hold up in those conditions.

I was so hesitant with all the reviews about their blankets looking so different than the pictures but I’m very, very happy with mine! I got it in black. Mine has a wide and bright range of colors in the stripes which I wanted the most. I don’t really have any complaints. Its very minor but I wish it had the green, white and red stripe like in the picture, just because it represents the Mexico flag. But again, very minor. It’s a little thin but still feels warm. I haven’t washed it yet to see if it affects it. I probably won’t put it in the dryer just because it feels delicate to me. But don’t let that stop you from buying. I love my blanket!
