Titanic (1953)

Along with "A Night to Remember" this "Titanic" is a great version of the horrific event. The Blu Ray disc is excellent. 4.3 ratio, clear picture, good sound and optional English Subtitles. I am not a fan of Clifton Webb, or for that matter Barbara Stanwyck, but both are just right for their roles as a couple in a loveless marriage on the ill fated voyage. Brian Aherne is effective as the captain and a very young Wagner shows all his youthful charm, and sings! The usual cliched characters are present, but they have to be and it all works. I found the sinking particularly well done and effective. Highly recomended as a period (1952) piece of cinema magic.

The Blu ray copy of this classic movie is great,and the sound track is very good. As good as the Leo/Kate version in its own way. An absolute hidden gem!
