These Keel fins have fantastic low-end!
I bought these keel fins for a new 5'9" Machado Seaside Fish. I had been using the board with some quad controller fins and it worked very well in surf ranging from waist to head high. I was a little nervous that the Ho Stevie fins were on the smaller side as the dimensions posted by Stevie (Base: 6.33" Height: 4.6") looked small vs some of the other keel fins I was looking at (I weight 180 lbs). But I have now surfed the Ho Stevie keel fins in weak waist to chest hi surf several times and the low-end was fantastic, the fins were loose, I was very happy with the performance. Today, I surfed the keel fins in head-high walled up/barrels just to see how they handle some real speed and and they worked fine- I definitely felt a little too much lift at times but that's what you want in a twinnie for a groveler IMO. Also, there's a few reviews where there were issues with fit, especially for futures boxes. I didn't have any problems with the keel fins fitting in the futures box at all. I will def recommend these fins to friends.

Real review for real surfers.
Bottom line up front- great set of fins.Lengthy review to follow.Attached are a few pictures and a list of pros and cons for these Ho Stevie fins.I have a 5โ7โ x 21 1/2 x 2 1/2 traditional style fish that was not responding the way I wanted it to. The board felt sluggish, tight and ridged in the bottom turns. I knew this board could be better but was unsure of the issue. I was using a set of fins that was recommended by a local San Diego surf shop, based on what they knew. You can see the type of fins I was using in the pictures. They are the white , futures keel style fin. These are a good fin but did not deliver the response I needed. After asking a friend who shapes boards for the Whitlock factory, I was turned onto a little different fin profile for the board I have. The Ho Steive keel style fin fit the bill to a T! These keel style fins are made of the same material as the Future and FCS manufacturing teams but at a fraction of the price . The handling and turning response was exactly what I was looking for, not too loose, fast, and very snappy. I felt my board come to life. The fins have a little flex, but donโt mistake that for being a bad thing. Flex is needed to whip the board through the top and bottom turns.Pros-High quality materialLower keel Style profile = high performance in the turnsOutstanding price pointFantastic carrying caseVerity for fish style boards.Cons-The included fin key is short. Recommend the Futures long style fin key to keep your knuckles from rubbing on the fin edge on install. Personal preference, I have Big hands. If you are riding a Fish, I highly recommend these fins, keep them with you as they are a great option to change up the way you ride. 5 of 5 on the product, and 5 of 5 on the shipping. Came just as advertised.

Quality product for galf the price of the big guys
These fins were absolutely perfect for my 5'8 lost retro RNF. I was using quads when i first got it and it just seemed like I could really get the most out of a set of twins, so i bought a more non keel verion of a twin and then these. Right off the bat it seemed like a perfect fit for the board. The speed and looseness i got from them were absolutely perfect. Ive used them in knee high surf to 2 foot overhead and they had a suprising amount of hold but still had the perfect amount of looseness to them. I bought these about a year ago and they have worked great for me. They also incuded a bag for the fins a sticker a fin key and a bar of wax with my purchase so that was really cool. Definitely support these guys because they are a small company and have a good product for half the price of the big guys!

Very durable fins
I've dropped these on a rocky cliff, it has held up. I've dropped this on my floor, it has held up. It survives me, and is impressive that these fins are still looking brand new after months of using them. They come with a nice feel and look, has an aggressive looking pattern and works well to compliment my board. On the water, they turn nice and are exactly what I need, plus the added wax comb/bottle opener was a welcomed surprise for me.

Fins Don't Fit In Futures Boxes
Two different sets of keels, the second sent as a replacement, and neither set fits in my Futures boxes. The rear of the base won't hook under the back of the fin box because the cutaway doesn't leave enough room to angle it in like my other keels. I see a lot of people talking about sanding them to fit but I'm not interested in spending money only to have to fix the item I just bought. I tried in another board with more rocker and they barely fit. Fishes ain't known for rocker so this a detail just to say it might fit in your board. Even then the front foil is so close to the box screw you'll end up damaging the fin before getting it in the water. It is a beautifully constructed and foiled fin it's a bummer I couldn't actually surf it.

Great keel fins
Used this on my twinny. Great fins at a low cost. True 6.5* cant vs flat fins.

Solid set of keel fins
These fins are high quality, super solid that made my board go five times as fast on smaller waves. I bought them to replace a smaller set of very flexible twin fins, which weren't holding on turns and these fins are the complete opposite. Gave my board new life and brought me tons of joy.
