My 12 year old daughter loves these.

Fantastically written and illustrated book series that I would highly recommend. These highly imaginative stories about with positive messages are hard to put down.

I love this author's style, character development, historical time and settings, and variety of book topics. His love for animals and nature is inspiring. I would recommend for middle grade readers on up to adults.I have ordered a different box set of his books today. He has great interviews online.

Probably the best part is the overall cost is down when you purchase a collection of books. The down side, is that some of the stories are not as satisfying as others. These were purchased for my grandson, when he visits us, so we are going thru slowly. He reads, then I read, and we talk about it.(spoiler alert)Most are good, but Born to Run was a complete disappointment. No one forgets their pet after only 5 years. No one forgets their "Best Mate" ever in their lifetime. To make the boy so unfeeling, went against everything the story told us about the boy. Huge disappointment.They can't all be winners I suppose, but then, why not? It's fiction. Overall, we love these stories.
