I got this as a way to help me keep my leader lines separated and ready for use. I do all types of fishing from fresh to salt so keeping tackle separated for its intended use is critical. I use the smaller version of this for my trout, ice fishing, and mostly fresh water leaders. The larger size I do is for some of my salt water leaders but the line size, swivels and hooks mostly don't fit so I use for my lighter saltwater leaders.Great item but definitely works better with fresh water rigs.

I had used the original size of these many years ago with much success. They were a bit bulky but kept long leaders in a useable manner quite well. This larger size seems to be great for keeping bigger rigs untangled and I really like the see through lids but notice that they do not fit very snuggly. Whether or not that becomes an issue remains to be seen, it hasn't stopped being cold and snowy long enough for me (an old guy) to venture out on the water this year.

I used to wrap my leaders around a piece of foam and had to constantly battle tangled line. I purchased my first Pip's Caddy last steelhead season and it kept my leaders organized and tangle free. My only complaint is that if you load too many leaders in the caddy, you still may get a few tangles, however they are very manageable compared to wrapping leaders around foam.I highly recommend the Pip's Leader Caddy.

This is a great tool to have if you’re a Steelhead fisherman. The less time you spend tying the more you’re in the water. I’ve had upnto 30 pre-snelled leaders on this pips container. They all stay organized. Just remove them opposite the order you put them in. Simple and effective product

I love it. I thought i was getting the small one. But this one works get! I took it out last month for our annual fishing trip and two of the guys went online and bought them right there and then. lol... Still going to get the small one. Thanks guys for making suck a great product.

If you pre tie your leaders, this is a great product to keep your line from getting tangled. I love that I can be standing in the middle of a river and change my leader without worry of tangled line. With the size of this caddy, you can easily hold several rigs with whatever lure set up you like already set on the line.
