I bought this because it is one of the few razor companies that do NOT test on animals. Unfortunately, the razor could use improvements. It is very light with the feel of a disposable. The blade has come off twice...I just put it back but it's annoying to have this happen. Also, I often am left with razor cuts after a shave. I am so rooting for the company, but they need to improve on this.

I recommend buying the five blade system because the blade and razors feel like Bic disposable razors. The five blade system is a much improved handle and shave. The blades are not interchangeable either so pay attention when you buy the cartridges or you'll end up like me: Five blade razors with 3 blade cartridges and had to order the handle for the 3 blade. I'll order more 5 blade cartridges when I run out of the 3 blade. I'm not going to waste the cartridges I have.

Fine razor, really don’t like the color

My skin is very sensitive when it comes to shaving. I experience a lot of pili multigemini which is basically when multiple strands of hair emerge from one hair follicle. This can make for a very unpleasant shaving experience. Simply Venus Gillette triple blade razors were my holy grail for shaving and besides those razors I could only get away with disposable bic 2 blade shavers while still experiencing some irritation. After learning about the cruel conditions other animals face I have decided to look more deeply into the products I buy. Either this would work or I would be that hairy woman walking down the street! Thankfully this razor did the job and did it well. It took some getting use to but I figured out what works best for me and I appreciate this product and company so much for doing what they're doing for my hair/skin and for the planet! Key tip: Carefully rinse hair off the blades as you shave, especially when doing large areas (legs), this helps prevent cuts, irritation and reduces time used having to go over areas

Love this razor, because it is Cruelty Free and NOT TESTED ON ANIMALS! That is the Most important factor for me.This is the ONLY Cruelty Free razor out there, so thank you Preserve!! The animals thank you.Don't let other companies tell you they don't test, because there are None.They are made from recycled plastic. The environment thanks you tooI can deal with the other factors that come with not using a quadruple blade that could probably slice through metal on my legs. The handle isn't the sturdiest Ever made, blade not the sharpest or longest lasting ever but you know what- it does what I need it to do, gives me a good clean shave and I can shave knowing its not contributing to animals living with raw skin exposed from them testing the same spot to see how many strokes it takes to break the skin. Please everyone think of them. <3And if this razor isnt cutting it, on their website Preserve just came out with a five blade razor. No excuses, lets all go cruelty free!

Not sure what all the negative reviews are about. There are not any truly environmentally friendly razors out there that I have seen. But Preserve is doing what they can by making their products as "green" as possible. I am now only throwing away a razor cartridge instead of an entire disposable razor with handle and blade. These cartridges cost less than widely-know brands and they get the job done. My girlfriend uses them for shaving her legs, and she's very tall, so has lots to cover. She gets several shaves out of them. It's a good product.

I had high hopes, as I have an allergy to nickel. But the mechanism for holding the blade is very weak and the blade keeps falling out. The Preserve 5 is much better!

My family has been using preserve products for a few years now, and I am just now getting around to reviewing them. My husband uses them, I use them, and our teenage/young adult au pair uses them.The razors are good. As good as anything comparable on the market, and unlike the big guys, they aren't as crazy expensive and don't come in all the crap packaging.For our family it is super practical as the fun colors of razor make it really easy to see whose is whose and yet not sacrificing quality of razor for a different look. We also appreciate that there is no animal testing with any of their products.Also, will subscribe and save, we know that we will never run out... as they are delivered quarterly to our door. Awesome.

Not for me. I have sensitive skin and this gave me some razor burn.Glad i tried it though and i am sure it will suit some people.

I like that this is vegan approved however it is overly expensive for the product and they do not last very long

The included cartridges have indeed very sharp blades as the other reviewer noted, however they do not pivot very much, barely in fact. The whole structure of the mechanism where the blade cartridge attaches, is very stiff as there are no moving parts (only molded, 'springy' parts - check out the picture of the product, and roll over it for a big resolution picture of that part, you'll see what I mean). The handle did not accept Sensor cartridges very easily either (I had to somewhat force it, a perilous operation that almost had me cut my thumb), and once installed, the cartridge did not pivot and was completely stiff. A perfectly acceptable (and ecological) alternative to throwaway and simple razors such as the iniquitous Bic razor, but this will by no means satisfy anyone shaving with more elaborate razors such as the Sensor or the Fusion.

Bought this as im vegan but I dont think its good or sturdy the blade keeps falling off not impressed at all
