Melted in the microwave after about 6 uses. Not user error either, as we put it in for the same amount of time on the other uses. Stunk the whole house out for days. What a horrid smell.

I gave this Highland cow to my daughter for her birthday and it was an instant favorite. The plush is incredibly soft, well made, and the sweetest size for cuddling. My microwave is 900 Watts so when I heat it, I do 60 seconds per the instructions. When I am cold and sitting in my recliner, I can hold it against my body, under my blankets and it will warm me up nicely. It doesn’t feel very hot to the touch, but I think the heat is more internal, radiates out and is longer lasting. I have a sinus face mask and it can get nastily hot even following the directions. My Hippo provides gentle, long-lasting, safe heat without any overpowering smell or electrical complications. It’s a great color, soft, and comforting even when unheated. Revommended.
