Absolutely amazing for clear and intuitive Lenormand readings
Because I have had the pleasure of attending a a one-day Lenormand workshop with Chloe McCracken in London a couple of years ago, I can testify first hand of what an excellent Lenormand teacher she is. Her clear understanding and magical imagination, paired with the beautiful artwork by Will Worthington, could not possibly deserve less than 5 stars! The companion book may be small but it packs a punch. The Celtic Lenormand would be worth getting for that alone even for someone who doesn't care for the arwork... although I imagine only someone who prefers drab is the only person who wouldn't instantly fall in love with these brightly coloured cards which are borderless (yay!) and therefore totally 'pop,' making intuitive readings infinitely easier than say a Blue Owl or French Cartomancy Lenormand ever could (great as these classics are). There are some 'extras' in this deck that you may or may not wish to use. Personally, I like to leave them in (bar the extra Man/Woman cards) for more fine-tuned readings. In my experience, both the extra Birds cards and the extra Tree card have added and wonderful insights. I can imagine that having an extra Child card (there is a boy and a girl) might come in handy but have yet to experience this first hand. I love the spiritual interpretations and affirmations for each of the cards too. This has quickly become one of my favourite Lenormand decks and I love using it together with the DruidCraft Tarot (also by Will Worthington) for combination readings.

Very pretty!
Gorgeous deck! I've been reading the Lenormand cards for over 12 years and I always used simple decks.I usually don't like the decks that are out now on the big market because you get lost with the real meaning of the Lenormand cards.I always say it's better to read the Lenormand with a simple deck like the Cartamundi from Belgium. However I felt attracted to this one and I thought it looked very pretty.I ordered it and I'm not disappointed at all! It's very very beautiful. The cards are small, sturdy, easy to shuffle and will last for a lifetime because the quality of the cards is very good. The drawings are very pretty, way much prettier than the Druidcraft tarot drawings (it's the same designer)The only bad point is that the HEART card does not have a RED heart.I thought that was very very bad. But I painted it myself in red with a permanent marker, carefully. Now it's all good!I recommend this deck.

These are contained in a box with removable lid which is of good quality and which you could quite easily continue to ...
The Celtic Lenormand is written by Chloë McCracken with artwork by Will Worthington.Published by US Games Systems IncThe set is comprised of 45 cards and a 188 page guidebook with images of each card in black and white. These are contained in a box with removable lid which is of good quality and which you could quite easily continue to keep the set in.The guidebook is an actual little book which makes me so happy, not a funny little white booklet. The cover is sturdy enough and decorated with artwork from the deck with nice quality pages within. The font and layout is pleasant to read. The cards are slightly smaller than a playing card 9cm x 5.7cm with rounded corners, the images are beautiful, colourful and borderless, (fantastic news for those of us who don't enjoy borders). The cardstock is a pleasant thickness, not to stiff or too thin and the lamination is matte so the cards are not slippery to handle. The Celtic Lenormand has 9 additional cards to the 36 cards in a traditional Lenormand deck meaning the deck can not only be used as a traditional Lenormand but also to expand the use of the deck with the aspects of Pagan beliefs and teachings within the Lenormand system. There is so much more to this deck because of this, which is what makes me love this deck. It opens up the use of the Lenormand for more spiritual experiences, exploration and work. The inclusion of a choice for some of the cards allows the reader to expand the deck and adapt it as needed to work with Deities, family groups, aspects of life, seasons, same sex partnerships, wheel of life and more.In addition to meanings for each card the book also contains advice on working with Deity, using the cards in spells and a good selection of spreads. This review is my early impression and thoughts on the deck and book after spending an afternoon meeting the Celtic Lenormand for the first time. I look forward to really absorbing myself in the cards and book and working with them over the coming weeks and months, coming back to update this review further. My personal feeling about the Celtic Lenormand is that it really speaks to me and the artwork is wonderful and imagery descriptive. I'm excited because being relatively new to Lenormand as a system i've been feeling that some things were missing for me or not quite tying up together. Now at last my feeling is one of knowing that things make more sense, the pathway more clear and this is largely due to the Pagan influences which i'm familiar with.www.kaleidoscopetarot.blogspot.co.ukhttps://www.facebook.com/KaleidoscopeTarot@kaleidotarot

The very best Lenormand in my collection
The very best Lenormand in my collection!Beautiful artwork by Will Worthington, and a really excellent concept book by Chloe McCracken, covering all aspects, from traditional meanings to the whys and wherefores of the extra cards...........which really add tremendously to the whole. The information is set under titles of:Keywords/Nouns/Descriptors/Verbs; A description of the image on the card; Card Meaning; Spiritual Reading; Dark and Light; Spell Use; Affirmation; Deities (associated with each card). There are both traditional spreads and Chloe's own innovative spreads........A wonderful Lenormand deck!
