Excellent image quality - 4K HDR 10-BIT
This is a great value when you consider the excellent image quality at 4K HDR 10-BIT color. It does take a few seconds for the transmitter and receiver to communicate. I only mention this because the signal to the TV was not immediate. At first I thought it was not working but after a few seconds the image showed up on the TV. Once the image shows up on the TV the quality of the image is stable and did not experience any drop outs. The video and audio were also perfectly in sync. All my sources are connected to a Marantz 6012 receiver and the output is connected to the kit's transmitter over a 75 ft. CAT 6 Ethernet cable. Aside from having to wait a few seconds for the initial image to show up on the TV, this extender kit works flawlessly. I did not have to use their tech support so I don't have a rating on that.

Full 4K HDR + Ethernet + IR over a single Ethernet cable at a great price
Superior to the 1080p solution it replaced in nearly every way. This unit sends full 4K signal, Infrared, and Ethernet over a single Cat5E/Cat6 cable. My previous solution would have needed 4 cables to accomplish this (2 wires for video, 1 for Ethernet, and 1 for Infrared). Using less wires with this box made for a much cleaner installation and I was able to tuck a lot of now unnecessary Ethernet cable back into the wall. I'm running full 4K signal from my wiring closet to my living room TV over a single Cat5E cable that's run about 50 feet from the closet to the TV. HDR seems to work great as well. Would definitely recommend this product, two big thumbs up.

Very good overall, but not lossless compression.
I’m using this with an Apple TV 4K and a Sony 4K SXRD projector on a 150” screen. The cable run is about 40ft with cat 6. The setup was plug and play. The unit runs cool and achieves 4K/60hz HDR10 with 4:2:2 chroma which requires an 18gbps HDMI connection. So this unit is achieving 18gbps with the compression. However, there is noticeable color banding so the compression is unfortunately not lossless. Color banding is immediately noticeable in the Apple TV default app buttons, especially the bright orange one. For me, this is a deal breaker. I’d rather run in 4K/30 HDR chroma 4:2:2 on my existing 10gbps HDMI cable. The issue is that HDBaseT is limited to 10gbps which makes it possible to do 4K/30 HDR 4:2:2 chroma without compression. But achieving the same parameters with 60hz refresh requires jumping up to the 18gbps standard. This can only be done with a cat based HDMI HDBaseT transceiver with compression. The only question that remains is - is that compression lossless. The compression in my unit is definitely lossy, meaning you can see the compression artifacts in the form of the color banding. Hopefully the newer generation of HDBaseT chipsets will resolve those issue.

Product Is Not Plug and Play
Update (update form 1 to 3 stars):I still have not gotten this product to work using my own cables and setup. It appears that this product is very particular with ethernet wiring schemes and does not work with any cables that can be bought on amazon. I purchases this cable ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BNKV60O/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) and it does not work with the unit. I researched another more expensive cable ( https://www.amazon.com/InstallerParts-Ethernet-Cable-Shielded-Booted/dp/B01DQ6QH6A/ref=sr_1_6?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1523207884&sr=1-6&keywords=200+ft+shielded+cat6+cable ) and the seller of this extender told me it will not work with the unit. If purchasing this, I would recommend doing your own wiring, starting outside the wall first, and confirming it works before deciding to keep it. The seller was unable to recommend a cable on Amazon that was longer than 150ft that would work with this box. So I will probably have to terminate my own cables to get this to work, which is still TBD. The reason I am updating my rating is that the seller clearly stands behind the product. They provided a cable ~50ft long with the correct wiring to prove that the boxes do in fact function as expected. This neither fits my need (I require about between 150 and 200 ft) nor allows me to say that the unit will work with runs >50ft, but I suppose it does suggest that the unit is not defective. So if you are comfortable terminating your own CAT6 wiring or looking for something for only about 50ft, buy this box. If you need something plug and play (like I was hoping to get at this premium price) look elsewhere. I would buy from this seller again (I gave them a 5 star seller review), but I probably wouldn't recommend this unit.Original Review:This item did not work for me. After struggling for 2 hours to get it working with my marantz receiver and projector, I set up the simplest possible configuration and still couldn’t get it working. I used my spare tv and plugged my blu-ray player directly into the tv to confirm I got a signal. It worked. Then I swapped HDMI cables and confirmed again, to ensure both HDMI cables were good. It worked. I then powered everything off, plugged in the Blu-ray to the transmitter, cat6 from transmitter to receiver, and HDMI from receiver to the tv, then powered everything up. No signal. The units are sending power over Ethernet (the front light is on) but there is no status light on the back (where the manual says I can check for connection status. I swapped out for a short cat5e cable. No dice, still no signal. So in short, everything was confirmed working, but this product can not connect or transfer video. I will be returning to Amazon and would not recommend this product.

Buggy
Used this run HDMI from my indoor receiver to my outdoor (enclosed) projector. The remote control over cat 6 never worked and everytime I tried to use it I had to switch it from tx to rx to tx to get there picture to show up.

Works really well
I purchased this item as for the zone 2 output of my receiver. As advertised it supports 4k and HDR and the picture on my LG OLED looks beautiful. I also use it as an IR range extender for my harmony remote and this works great as well. For those wondering, this adapter does support Dolby Vision HDR as well. One word to the wise is to be careful with which ethernet cable you purchase and definitely test before running anything behind walls, floors, etc. I had a cheaper cable that would only work at shorter distances.

Works great... when it works
Most of the time this works great, but I found after a couple hours, it just dies and stops sending a signal until it is rebooted. I had to buy a smart socket and program it to cycle power nightly, and now this works 90% of the time, though even still, I have to manually power cycle it at least once a week to get picture back. While its working, it works great, HDR, 4K, everything. But it is very annoying to turn on the TV and get a "no signal" notice, until I reboot the device.
