North Meadow Acadia 6-Player Croquet Set with Pine Storage Box

I spent a lot of extra money to have a set made in the USA. It is well made and just what I was hoping for, except the white paint on the wickets was chipped and peeled, so dark spots were all over the bottom 4 inches or so. This has no effect on the performance, it just looks bad, and as it was a gift I was a little embarrassed. I called the seller, left a message, and got no response. I then called the manufacturer and was told this is how they are, and if they sent more they would also be chipped and peeled, as this is how they come out of the manufacturing process. I was surprised that they didn't show any concern, nor did they seem concerned that their retailer didn't call me back. I have a hard time believing that all of their wickets are chipped and used-looking at the bottom. Hopefully not. Had they been okay I would have given 5 stars, but the extremely poor customer service by this Amazon seller and manufacturer was disappointing.

I would definitely recommend this set for anybody looking for a good quality croquet game. It is made of good quality wood, looks quite good in its big case. Exactly what I wanted.
