Not the easiest DIY repairs, but does work.
The parts came quickly and time will tell if they last as long as the original parts did, 13 yrs. My washer could not finish a load with out stopping for a "ul" code. I first replaced the suspension springs, I replaced these 6 years ago and they solved the problem. This time the problem did not go away. Further research lead me to think it was the bearings, I took a chance on this kit and I can now do loads with out error codes, yeah! That being said, the parts came with no instructions. Not a big deal because no novice should attempt this repair without consulting Youtube. In fact, several Youtube videos did not address some important steps. One that I found useful was the use of a bottle jack and piece of 2x4 to lift the tub out of the washer, the tub should slide up off the drive shaft, but after so many years, corrosion has it locked in pretty well. You might get lucky and you tub might lift out with out too much effort, but mine did not and the bottle jack trick worked perfectly. Removal of the drive shaft nut was not easy, I have a 1 1/4 wrench and spray penetrating oil. The removal of this nut did slow me down, it was so easy on all the videos I watched. Another important step is to lubricate the insides of the bearings so the bearing jig slides into the center of the bearings and also slides back out after installation. The jig has a real tight fit, and was difficult to remove post installation. I am pretty handy and I found this repair a bit of a challenge. Have plenty of rags and towels ready to catch all the water when you do this. Fortunately, it worked and I hope to get some more years out of this washer. The washer is great when it is working, but it has needed maintenance over the years.Even after the repair, my washer was making a random pinging noise, pretty loud as well but only intermittently. It worked but of course I was concerned. I found a reference on line to someone with the same issue, they found a coin against one of the pumps. There are two pumps, both have short hoses between the tub and the pump. I pulled on of the hoses and found a nickle. Once it was removed the washer was quiet.I give it 4 stars because of the lack of instructions. This will fix the above problems, I wish you good luck.

Bearings where manufacturer defects and a couple other minor issues.
Everything during the disassembly and reassembly went well. The bearing assembly tool worked well after some fairly minor adjustments. Had to file down the inside race boss on the assembly tool to get the bearing to slip fit on and seat properly for the press tool. (As a machinist I found it a bit absurd I'd have to file the diameter to slip fit the bearing ID on a lathe turned part. Might wanna wake the lathe operator up and make them do a quality check. :-) ). The real kicker was after it was reassembled everything appeared to work great.... until I ran a spin cycle and it was louder than before I'd changed to the new bearings. Thought I did something wrong. NOPE! Bearings were sh!t . Ordered new bearing set for $18 w the seal from someone else. Reinstalled and it now works beautifully. All in all my opinion is that it definitely wasn't worth the $80 I spent being what I had to do to properly complete the repair. I'll assume it was produced in China and then WAY over valued and priced in the States. The bearings having no manufacturing name or numbers should have told me the situation. Was rather disappointed in the product and myself for paying that much for 50% crap. And yes I did tell them.... they said "thank you" for the purchase and feedback. So there ya go.... buyer beware. :-)

Used kit sold as new, being returned
One of the things I would love to undo in my life would be to avoid buying this kit from this seller. Some of the Parts in this kit were off dimensions, and you wouldn't know that until completely assembled. On top of that the tube of glue was wrinkled and lots of glue missing and grease tube half empty. I paid with my sweat for two days, assemble and disassemble to save a few bucks. Next time I am buying the kit from Whirlpool to avoid unbelievable hassle, so don't buy from this seller. Also I requested the seller phone no. PRIMECO, and the number they gave me was for PRIMECO, other than this seller, this Primco manufactures paint, or so they told me.I ordered and received two kits, for expediency, and both kits had been opened and partially used. The kit comes with grease and very sticky glue tubes in a plastic bag. Both tubes were squeezed and oozed out, and note in the photo how the oozed out glue stuck to the washer rubber seal and the plastic bag. Note that plastic bag was smeared with dirty hand grease, and note that the spline of the shaft is dirty with rust. This tells the story that it was inserted in an old washer shaft rusty hole to install but removed. This seller should take full responsiblity for the quality of the product he ships out. When you pay for new parts that's what you should receive. Otherwise he should sell it as used on eBay and whatever he gets for it, maybe $10 not $85, that's how much it's worth. I will return every item when it shows signs of being preused. I gave it two stars, not one as it deserves, because the bearings and rubber seal were useable.I wouldn't buy this kit again. It was installed expertly, but didn't last at all.
