A little bit noisy as only got a very small motor,could be a lot less noisy with a bit of noise insulation on the motor as this would be a great step forward to an even greater PRODUCT than it is alreadyOne other thing of greater importance is the amount of the repair fluid in the very small bottle as it is just barely enough to repair 50 disc's only if if stick to trying repair you just the one time in machine, if you are unlucky enough to have to do the more than once you most certainly not have of the repair fluid to do 50 discs, this easily needs to be a bigger bottle ie the same size as cleaning fluid bottle now would make the best for keeping all your blurays in excellent condition, this is a great little machine, and the price is just about right. Even the replacement kit is great but still only got tiny bottle of the repair fluid this should also be changed to a larger bottle as this is great value also.

I have used this machine to clean number of CD's. It doesn't work on every CD but has worked on most of those I have tried to clean.

Great machine does what it says cleans the CDs takes away the scratches, but the only thing I found is when you open the bottom drawer to get the articles out. The pads at the there was three different types of pads. You had the blue yellow and the pink when you got to the bottom, I found it quite hard to get the bottom ones out

This was working for about 4 discs, i followed the instructions to the letterred pads NO drops, clean the red pads, then yellow pads 2 drops (small bottle), then blue pads 2 finishing drops from the bigger of the 2 bottles.Then repeat if not happy, i did the final step a few times and yes it cleaned up some very minor marks but nothing more than i could have polished off by hand.so did not really polish any scratches off the discs i managed to get through, started the 4th disc and it made some funny noise from the motor and it just stopped, i let it cool down for 15-20 minutes but that was that as it refused to switch on at all,THIS IS OK FOR CLEANING AND THATS IT! (WHEN IT WORKED)so bottom line it's a cheaply made lump of junk, i thought it was great value when ordering but its not made to last or fit to do the job it was advertised to do.returns made impossible! so i tried to do a return request but was directed to product support instead.i spoke to the product help team as my returns request was refused even after having it for under 2 hours, they spoke to me like a simpleton who could not figure out how to plug it in despite the fact i clearly told them i had already used it to clean 4 or 5 discs...did they really think i forgot how to use it simply because i started to speak to product support? did i suddenly forget in a minute how to do a simple task like duhh "closing the lid" and "plugging it" in or "pressing the on button" despite already figuring these tasks out for myself and telling that so in advance..JUST AVOID THIS PRODUCT AT ALL COST.I GOT SO FRUSTRATED I DISCONNECTED FROM THE PRODUCT SUPPORT GUY WHO JUST KEPT WANTING TO "CALL ME" TO "HELP ME"....HELP ME WITH WHAT...ITS A PLASTIC TUB WITH A COUPLE OF SPINNING PADS AND A PLACE THE PUT A DISC THAT ALSO SPINS (OR SHOULD IF IT WORKED)..A EJECT BUTTON THAT HARDLY WORKS AND A SINGLE START BUTTON...WHAT HELP WOULD A SILLY PERSON LIKE ME ACTUALLY NEED TO USE SUCH A BASIC SIMPLE DEVICE.SO I BUY THIS DEVICE THIS MORNING VIA AMAZON PRIME SAME DAY SERVICE, IT GETS DELIVERED THIS EVENING IT FAILS UNDER ONE AND HALF HOURS LATER AND NOW APPARENTLY YOU CAN NOT JUST DO A SIMPLE RETURNS REQUEST VIA AMAZON'S OWN RETURNS CENTRE WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM THE SELLER?ERR AMAZON WE HAVE CONSUMER RIGHTS IN THE UK AND DISTANCE SELLING REGULATIONS...WHO IS THIS SELLER TO THINK THEY CAN JUST DICTATE AND SAY YES OR NO TO RETURNS? EVEN IF THEY ARE FAULTY....OR EVEN IF YOU SIMPLY JUST CHANGE YOUR MIND...WOWWHY MAKE IT SO DIFFICULT WHEN SOMETHING FAILS...WHY ALL THE TECH SUPPORT OPTIONS BEFORE RETURNS?I DON'T NEED COMPULSORY TECH SUPPORT, WHAT IF I HAD JUST SIMPLY CHANGED MY MIND WHICH YOU ARE ALLOWED TO DO UNDER UK CONSUMER RIGHTS LAW (DISTANCE SELLING REGS).,SO 2 AMAZON ITEMS IN 2 DAYS FAIL ON ME...A PAPER SHREDDER AND NOW A DISC CLEANER...IS NOTHING MADE TO LAST MORE THAN A MINUTE ANYMORE?

I liked the storage and yes it works. My CDs are playing now. Good value but the mains charger with UK and EU two pin options is cheap, useless rubbish that was either broken or fell apart.

Easy to use and has given my old CD collection a new lease of life! I highly recommend this product.

I had a few treasured DVDs that for some reason had gone a bit cloudy in storage and would no longer play, apparently this is a common thing with DVDs as they age, which I didn’t know about. I’d tried all kinds of cleaning fluids , cloths etc..( someone even suggested Toothpaste, so I thought , oh well worth a go I guess..nope, that didn’t work either ) It was driving me mad because it wasn’t as if they were badly scratched or damaged or anything as I’ve always handled my DVD’s with care etc, then I came across this, well its worth a punt I guessed. It arrived today, If it only brought back the one I cherished the most I’d be happy so I tried that one first. You have to go through 3 process’s using all 6 different coloured pads. After the first process (Buffering) things looked promising, the cloudiness had gone so I went through to the next two steps, restoring and final clean.Then came the part of crossing my fingers and actually shoving it in the DVD player. I couldn’t believe it was back playing again, and crisp and sharp and as good as new. It worked just as well on the other discs so I’m well chuffed. I’ve only had it for a day so I obviously can’t comment on its longevity, but it seems quite robust for what it is. It does state that it will not work on badly scratched discs that have gone through into the inner foil layer so it does have its limitations , but if they’ve just gone a bit funny with age and wont play properly or at all I can confirm that it worked for me. You can buy replenishing kits containing 6 new pads and fluid for under £10.00 , so I bought one of those as well, this should all do me now for about 100 cleaning and restoring sessions.

Half the cleaning solution had leaked out of the bottle. :( Hence why only 4 stars.The machine appears to work as advertised. The discs clean up nicely although visible marks can be seen on the discs from the pads but nothing that will affect playback. But the first disc I tested this on is likely a, lost cause, but I just had to make sure it would not destroy any of my more precious discs due to the number of negative reviews on this product.I think that many of those negative to this product knows nothing of what they talk about and only complain for the sake of complaining.

I needed a decent DVD/CD repair and cleaning unit to replace a very old Skip Doctor unit I purchased years ago and after reading various reviews on this item here, I decided to get this to see if it can repair and clean up some of my DVD's and CD's as the weeks and months go by. I got the item just fine and it's easy to use. I tried cleaning and repairing a moderately scratched DVD and it did a pretty good job. I was able to play the entire DVD without any problems. Before I got that DVD cleaned and repaired with this item, the DVD would get stuck midway into the DVD. So, this item did the job of fixing and cleaning that DVD. It saved me a little money buy not having to buy another set of DVD's to replace that older set. This item takes maybe 7 minutes to clean and fix a DVD or CD and it will fix minor to moderate scratches. Deep scratches will not be fixed with this item however. This item does come with an AC cord and overall very easy to use. I got a spare cleaning/repairing kit also for this item. I am rather pleased with this item and gave it 5 of 5 stars.
