Will this work in the lamy la star fountain pen?

I use a Lamy Safari with a fine nib and it works well. I also find that Waterman ink works well. By the way, I find that Quink doesn't work so well with my Lamy's - to the degree that I can't use it. Slightly off topic, but the Diamine Pink is no different to the Waterman red, so I would advise not to buy Diamine Pink. All the others work well, I particularly like the imperial purple and the golden sands.

Is the grey ink lighter or darker than the earl grey

dunno - a good approximation of pencil

How does this ink work with the dip pen?

It's true that you need the right tool for the job but I have used Diamine inks with my dip pens and flex nibs. They are slightly wet so if your paper is absorbent or glossy then you end up with characterful embellishments. I have no issue using them in my dip pens.

would this work with a lamy in a converter?

Absolutely, I use these inks with both my Lamy, Waterman & vintage ink pens. It’s a lovely flowing ink but takes slightly longer to dry sometimes; depending on your paper.
