great small tool

The lock is for changing the blade; not to preventing it from moving
People need to know that the lock function is not to keep the blade from moving up but to open the casing to change the blade. If it’s in the unlocked position and drops, it is much more likely to pop open. The directions and information should be much more clear regarding the lock. If users knew the correct intention regarding the lock they wouldn’t be disappointed and that’s why I took a star off. I use this in a school commercial kitchen and opening boxes and food packages feels so much safer compared to a box cutter. I ordered a second one and am really happy.

Perfect and handy
Just what I was looking for- a box/package opener that would magnetize to the fridge to keep it handy. I’m surprised by the ceramic blade. It’s safe if you accidentally touch the blade. No need to worry about getting cut. But it’s still able to cut through tape and even cardboard. Love it.

I love the safety this product adds to the tedious chore of cutting down boxes for the recycling bin. Also, the material of the blade is perfect for cutting through those difficult-to-open plastic packages we all hate.
