1984

Excellent release from the Egyptian Lover here. He went completely old school with how this was recorded using his old studio and equipment and it shows. This is his closest sounding release that sounds like he recorded it back in 1984. Could easily have been a follow up to On The Nile.. There is no one that has this sound but him. A complete original. He is the BEST there is and has lost nothing through the years. He still has his edge. Great to see him get back to what started it all.

Was surprised to find out that this release slipped under my radar for a few years. Was even more surprised to find that the sound actually took me back to the original beats and production of On The Nile. This cd hits hard and I can't recommend it enough to true Egyptian Lover fans outs there. Can't wait until 1985 releases!

I played this too death when I first got it. Classic style of Egyptian Lover with an up to date twist . If you've been a fan you won't be disappointed, and you're surely to like him if you're a new fan !

Fantastic album! The dope art, font and music scream 80's and thsts what his goal was to convey in this new album. The 808's and the vocoder vocals with the Egyptian melodies are amazingly done. This is by far his best work yet and I highly recommend this for any fan of electro or old school hip hop.
