It’s a great product, it definitely will serve its purpose and that is to just sit inside my kayak. But it is a tight fit to snap around my stomach. I’m 5’4 / 180 pounds. It WILL snap around me but it’s a little snug when sitting down in my kayak. But overall it is a great product!

I know you're not supposed to use it for swimming. The booklet says water training, but I took this baby in the ocean. I am a terrible swimmer and recently went on a Caribbean vacation with my husband who loves to swim. The belt looks a little ridiculous out of the water. Picture adult floaties. But once you're in oh boy. I was no longer afraid of not feeling land under my feet. I kicked my self up and I was swimming! We even went snorkling for hours. When I got tired I just floated there and stared into the water (with my snorkel gear of course). I was no longer limited to the boring fish in the shallow end. This belt allowed me to make the most of my vacation and I love it!

I can swim but I cannot stay afloat without effort. Even lying on my back knees bent, I still sink like a rock. I just went on vacation to an area with a lot of lakes. I had purchased this belt to give me that little extra floatation I needed to feel comfortable and confident out in the open water and most importantly allowed me to take breaks. This is a very comfortable belt. Swimming I do not notice its there. Works great. Just enough floatation to keep me above water but still can swim under water without too much difficulty.

When lap swimming, I find myself exerting too much energy staying afloat. This belt works perfectly for me. With it I can swim far more laps than without it. After a few weeks of wear, the color fades a bit but the belt still fits very well.

I purchased this for my wife when we booked a cruise to the Caribbean. I wanted to snorkel while we were in Belize but she is not a good swimmer. We strapped it on her and I couldn't keep up. She was all over the place, having a great time. Because it straps on to the waist it was perfect for snorkeling. It gave her just the right amount of buoyancy. Another plus was that it packed easily in the suitcase and didn't take up too much room.

I got this for water exercises in deep water. No matter how tight I put on the belt, it rode up to my chest instead of staying at my waist. It was uncomfortable and didn’t work as I expected.
