No. Parking mode does not require hardwiring. Driving recording uses USB power, and the rear camera connects via cable for stable video transmission.

Does this dash cam support 24-hour recording?

Parking mode does not support continuous recording.The camera only records when a collision or shaking is detected, and saves a 30-second event video. Screen off ≠ power off.

Why does the dash cam ask to reformat the SD card?

Please format the microSD card in the dash cam itself before first use. Formatting on a computer may cause compatibility issues.

Wi-Fi can’t connect?

Turn on the dash cam’s Wi-Fi and check if the app detects VD1 Pro 4K.

Do I need to buy a hardwiring kit for parking mode?
