8" Universal Metal Subwoofer Grill Cover | SKGRL8

My Infinity RE1000s then su fit into these covers perfectly. And now my dogs can stand right on them and the screen doesn’t even flex. Great cover! Installations was pretty easy but it was really hot out & let them sit in the sun to make them more pliable. If it was really cold out, I imagine they would be a bit difficult to slip in as easy. And I love the price as well not to cheap and very well made.

Fits pretty tight on larger than normal subs, a bit tricky to install and risks damaging your sub if your not careful, but if you take your time and go slowly you should be fine. Made if sturdy metal, my kids would have to really kick them to dent them even slightly.

I should have read the other reviews. This Skar grille does not even work with their own SDR loaded sub boxes. I should have known it wouldn't fit when I had to bow it slightly into an oval to test fit it between the top and bottom lip of the SDR box prior to installation. Skar has mounted their SDR subs in a recessed ring on their SDR loaded boxes. This ring is smaller than it should be to accommodate this grille. Yes, you can force the rubber mounting ring into the recessed area, but then it is impossible to put the metal grille into the slot. Forcing the rubber ring it there causes the slot diameter to be too small for the metal grille. As others have mentioned, if Skar had flush-mounted the subwoofer instead of recess-mounted, this would have worked. Alternatively, Skar could have made the front of the box just 1/4-1/2 inch taller and the recessed mount area a little larger diameter and this grille would have worked. Honestly, it should just come with the loaded box...then Skar would know it is impossible to install on their box.

Just like stated universal fit my 8" Massive Audio sub with no issues the only problem i had was getting the grills to get fitted onto rubber it was quite the challenge I will tell you that. Thats the only reason I gave it 4 stars. Now my subs are safe from accidental kicks or stuff in the back seat

Solid product that meets expectations I’ve been using this product for a little while now, and overall it performs as described. Setup and use were straightforward, and it worked right away without any issues. The quality feels good for the price, and it does what it’s intended to do. Great fit for Infinity Kappa 103WWDSSI 10” sub. The grill itself is very sturdy and I think it looks great. The outer ring is a firm rubber, a little more plasticized than tire rubber in fact the installation is very much like mounting a bike tire and the included installation tool is very similar to a bicycle tire installation tool. The surround wraps around the back of the speaker flange and the holes align with the holes in the mounting flange on the speaker. I haven’t mounted it yet as my box is still in progress but I suspect the mounting screws that came with my sub may have heads that are a little too large so I may have to get some different screws. Overall I couldn’t be happier with this high quality purchase. The shipping was just a couple days. Great seller.

I highly recommend these for anyone worried about the wife throwing stuff in the trunk without respecting your subwoofers. I really was worried about ordering them for my Massive subwoofers, because these are Skar brand. They fit just fine! They are made of very strong metal. Not flimsy at all when it's by itself. Very hard material! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! Works perfectly well! Looks very awesome. A bit tricky, but easily installed. We'll worth the value especially if you have expensive subs!

Fit perfectly and is also very sturdy!! Now I dont have to worry about kids kicking subwoofers!!!
