Schmidt's Deodorant - Bergamot + Lime Stick

This is the best product.👍🏻I have ordered 3 times already.👍🏻 The product last for more than 5 months👍🏻It is very long lasting, Easily would last for a whole day.👍🏻 Smell is amazing. Not too overpowering not too subtle. Has an orangey citrus smell.👍🏻 Very neat and clean packaging.👍🏻Not antiperspirant so Yay.If it dries out your skin, then just apply a bit of moisturiser lotion/cream and then use the Schmidt.

This smells so fresh! Sure, it's expensive. But it's an honest product with no harmful substances and it actually works! It's just as effective as store bought deodorant sticks without the junk.

It is my fave stick and is available in India now though prohibitively expensive!

Bought this as Tom’s was either not available or was too expensive. Have moved back to toms of Maine. This one does not compare…

Excellent natural deo

It has a very pleasant smell and works efficiently in stopping odour. You may experience rashes or irritation with regular use so it’s better to take a break in between when using this deo.

This stuff is a game changer. I've been using a strong antiperspirant for as long as I can remember (Secret Platinum Protection). I was a sweaty kid and now I'm a sweaty adult and between tons of exercise (I'm currently in law enforcement academy) and taking stimulants throughout the day I definitely need a deodorant that can keep up with me. I've been trying to switch to a natural deodorant for a couple of years now for the health benefits but I've been disappointed each time. The best luck I had had up until this point was with Lavanila Laboratories' "The Healthy Deodorant", but every day I just felt like I was putting something that smelled good over my stinkiness and that it was a mask more than anything. I also sweated A LOT with every natural deodorant that I tried. I know, I know, armpits are supposed to sweat and that's how you release toxins yada yada - but this was overkill and it kept discouraging me from using them.I had almost given up on natural deodorants all together until I saw this Schmidt's stuff and thought I would give it one last shot at having happy healthy armpits. When it arrived, I was IN LOVE with the smell - kinda reminded me of a margarita. Not in a bad way like someone was going to think I had stuck away on my lunch break to have a few margaritas if they caught a whiff of it, but in a good way like the smell makes me think of sitting on a patio in beautiful weather and enjoying a drink. It's fresh and zesty.I decided I would start off slow and transition to this deodorant since I had had issues in the past with rashes with the natural stuff. I used it on the weekends at first and started using it every day about 2 weeks ago. I haven't had any rashes and I love that my armpits actually feel soft and healthy and not dry and shriveled up like my super strong chemical antiperspirant left them.Application is easy and it goes on smoothly. It dries quickly and doesn't leave you with that slimey gross feeling. I only have to apply it once in the morning on most days, but if I'm doing something extra strenuous I'll apply it again and it does the trick. I LOVE the fact that it magically allows me to sweat without drenching my clothes. And honestly, I don't even notice that I'm sweating. And I don't smell "funky with a hint of flowers" I just smell like that wonderful bergamot and lime scent which means I know the deodorant is really doing its job and not just masking my stink. I'm noticing that I sweat less and less the more I use it - I would imagine this is because my body is adjusting to it and not having to fight a strong antiperspirant to release whatever it needs to release (I'm no armpit scientist).I'm super pleased with this product and I'm really glad I decided to give natural deodorant another try. I'll probably try another one of the Schmidts scents, but I can't imagine being more pleased than I am with the bergamot + lime!

I wanted to give this product enough time to work before I wrote a review so here goes! I bought the Schmidt Natural Deodorant in Bergamot + Lime back in July because I wanted a more natural and healthy deodorant to use that also smelled nice. I read a bunch of reviews since I 1. Had never heard of Schmidts 2. Have never bought a natural product like this and 3. Read a crapload of reviews on any product I use these days. There were a few things that I noticed that were very different about this deodorant than what I've used for, well, the rest of my life.1. Slightly gritty texture - BUT ITS NOT A BAD THING! It feels like a little exfoliation party for your armpits, which I never thought would be enjoyable.2. Strong scent - but it's amazing! I love this combination of scents. There were, and still are, many times where I smell the fresh citrus scent and wonder where it's coming from. Even friends that were close to me asked me what perfume I was wearing because it smelled amazing.3. It WORKS. There is a couple weeks in the very beginning that you have to stick it out before it works perfectly. My body took about 10 days to adjust (read, I felt like I was barely wearing deodorant but with a quick second application halfway through the day, I was all good). After about the 10 day mark, there was no smell, and the deodorant lasts for 12 hrs for me (maybe more, but I'm not smelling my armpits in the middle of the night).Go try this - I love it and am about to reorder more. My biggest decision is to decide what scent to go with since I know they smell great! Worth the price in my opinion.

Alrighty, so I was a bit concerned about trying this because of some of the reviews showing they had rashes or reactions to this product. I was lucky that I have no reaction to it.The cons:The product is hard, and in my case is crumbly. This can feel a bit abrasive and uncomfortable during application.The pros: the smell is amazing, it works effectively, is natural and cruelty free.In regards to the crumbly-ness, I was curious so I took some individual crumbly pieces and squished them in my fingers to understand the consistency.Upon being squished, they become very dry and powdery, like baby powder almost. So overall it crumbles because the produce is dry.In my case the powder like consistency has actually helped prevent body odor as the deodorant doesn't sweat off as easily, and trust me I'm a sweaty lady.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well this works. The packaging is nice, I had no issues with the product dispensing well. I have a very cold bathroom for some reason, so I do let it rest on my skin for a few moments to help it distribute evenly. Best of all, this works just as well as my regular deodorant (Secret Invisible Solid, which I have used for years). Like many people, I decided to switch after learning about all of the bad effects of traditional antiperspirants. The only difference is that obviously this is natural and not and antiperspirant, so you can expect to actually perspire more. I haven't noticed this being an issue for me at all. I had no side effects, except on the very first use I had one tiny spot that seemed irritated and slightly itchy but it went away overnight. I did not have a "detox" or adjustment period that others have commented on, and I never developed a rash of any kind. I have used this while working out, and been pleased. (Probably more than anyone wants to know about my personal habits, but I generally work out in the morning and shower after. I do not apply more product before I exercise, and the previous day's application gets me through my workout with no issues). I have tried Tom's natural deodorant and it was not effective for me, but Schmidt's has worked great! The Bergamot & Lime has a nice light citrus smell, but it does not compete with my floral fragrance. I have recommended this to friends and family and will continue to do so!

I really wanted to like this, and it has some good qualities. I love the Bergamot + Lime scent. It's very refreshing. It isn't overpowering so people smell it on you, but you can definitely smell it when changing clothes, etc. It also applies quite smoothly for a natural deodorant and isn't sticky. It doesn't keep me 100% dry, which the manufacturers acknowledge is the case since it's not an anti-perspirant, but rather a deodorant. To that end, it holds up ok, but not great.I am not new to natural deodorants, so I'm not going through the "transition period" everyone talks about. I've been using the Thai Deodorant Stone for two years now, and went from that to Schmidt's. First, like I said, the deodorizing isn't that great. While I never smelled the rank, acrid odor of straight underarm sweat, I did catch whiffs of that musty smell that I associate with people who use natural hygiene products. It sort of neutralizes the odor, and turns it into something else that a lot of people might not link to sweat, but will still know is some kind of either body odor, or your clothes are mildewed. Neither one is really something you want people to think about you. That being said, the smell doesn't really exude unless I raise my arms so it's not a total crapshoot.The other bad thing is, I had a massive candida outbreak the second day I used this. Now, I realize candida has a lot to do with body chemistry, etc. But I never had it in my life until I tried the JASON natural deodorant, and now again with Schmidt's. With JASON, it took a week or more of wear to develop the candida, and it started small and grew over time until I found out what it was and took counter actions. I could not believe with Schmidt's it was literally the SECOND DAY, and had taken over my entire armpit area before I even knew it was there. I did do some pretty heavy yard work that day, but that bad and that fast was pretty disappointing.I may just not be a [candida]te for natural stick deodorants. After I clear this outbreak I'm going to give this another try and will update this review if I get better results this time. I understand the tradeoffs of natural products--if they worked 100%, there would have been no need to invent all the toxic products that DO offer 100% dryness and freshness. Less than perfection is worth it to avoid putting toxins on my body. But the Thai Deodorant Stone gave me much better results--complete dryness and no smell; it was as good as the aluminum stuff except it's scentless. I only wanted to try Schmidt's because the Stone application isn't very comfortable and I wanted a little fresh scent.If you don't sweat much and have an inactive lifestyle, and have never had candida issues using natural deodorants, this probably is a really excellent product for you, I just can't say it worked for me.
