Interesting read
I have now read the whole series, including the novellas, in order. The characters are well drawn and the storylines interesting and somewhat different to the usual fareoften seen in this genre. There are two areas that I found less than satisfactory. One being the thoughts of the main protagonists involving rather a lot of repetition. The second being short or no epilogues - leaving many things up in the air. This problem with the epilogues, or lack thereof, has been rather surprising given the rather huge amount of repetition involved with the thought processes of the main protagonists.I would like to suggest to the author .... less repetition please and a more involved epilogue.I felt that the author was so pleased to finally reach the end of the story that she just “threw the towel in”. It was rather like a guillotine abruptly stopping the word flow.In this particular novel - no epilogue - no resolution concerning Archie’s fall out with his family and no real explanation as to why there was a fall out to begin with. Archie joining the Army seems to have been the crux of the matter but this is not really believable as many younger sons (he was the third son) joined the Army (it was rather expected) - another brother joined the Clergy (also another expected occupation) Also many younger sons did in fact become stewards and secretaries as they had to earn a living - as everything entailed went to the heir. Only in exceptionally wealthy families did younger sons have estates and monies bestowed upon them.... Which leaves me to wonder WHAT CAUSED THE RIFT? Unfortunately I will never know as Megan Frampton couldn’t be bothered to write an epilogue at all - let alone a short and abrupt one. Shame on her.All the stories are a good read but each suffering from an abrupt ending

A bit of role reversal!
Charming, whimsical, clever.humour especially the letters (clever!) as duchess and not so lowly steward fal in love.Just the thing for a lazy Sunday sitting in the.garden.

My fair Duchess by Megan Frampton.
Excellent loved the reluctant Duchess and Archie they belonged together, love like this comes along one in a lifetime twice if you are lucky. I enjoyed Megan's story
