I followed instructions to watch videos to learn how to install in spite of the fact that this was the third iphone battery install I have done (on other phones, first on this one.) The videos stated that the screen seal should be replaced when the screen is taken off. No seal was provided in the kit. I called, the response was to watch videos, which was no answer at all. So I went with it, but I am worried that the phone is more vulnerable to fluids now so I will be more careful. The battery has been in for a week. Working very well. I was charging three times a day but with this replacement I was at 45% still on the first charge at the end of the day. Super good. Tools were perfect for the job. Good product, will recommend with the caveat that the kit lacks a seal replacement.

My phone could not make it through the day. I recently add the hearing aid app. It got worse. If you want to know if you need the same, look at battery in settings. If the last time it charged, it recovered to less than 80%, you need to do the same. Follow their directions even if you think you can skip steps and get the same results. Tool kit was perfect for the job. A little scary when you open the case but if I did it, you can do it.3/1/20. The battery no longer recharged to full capacity. Call Amazon. Instant full credit to my account. No need to return the battery. Next time I will purchase the adhesive kit to assure a good seal. At least I know I can make the swap again.

I watched a few different video’s online. One video wanted me to disconnect the display from the back of the case. I didn’t do it because there are 5 screws and two of them stripped. I really didn’t need to do that, I was just REALLY careful not to break the connectors that go from the front to the back on the top of the phone on the inside. Watch a couple of video’s before you do it. Have a surface that you can see the screws when you take them out. They have to go back in the same hole they came out of because the length of the screws vary. They do give you new screws, which I only used the two new ones for the screws on either side of the charging port.

After my wife's original battery essentially died (lost 25% of charge sending a single text) I thought $25 was pretty cheap for the tools and a new battery -- but I stand corrected. It was (relatively) easy to install and once in, immediately held a charge and has worked great for a week or two so far -- just like new.One note: when installing, pulling out the old battery might cause it to flex or bend. Initially I was worried it might leak acid or explode but the original ones seem pretty flexible by design and it turned out being no big deal.The tools are pretty flimsy and I wouldn't save them for future use; but they got the job done one time without a problem.

So far so good. I installed this in an iPhone 6plus a a month ago and let it deplete the charge and then charged back to 100%. I done this 6 times and it has lasted all day now. My old battery lasted about 2 hours, therefore the change. The only negative is it will completed shutoff below 8%. Sometimes as low as 3%. But overall it was a purchase well worth doing. In fact I ordered another one and just installed it in my grandsons phone.

I purchased this almost a year ago and never installed the battery. Finally, watched the install video and installed it with ease. Very surprised at how smooth it all went. There aren’t any of the adhesive rings for the glass but otherwise it was a good buy for the money.

Update2 11/19/18: So I’ve had the battery installed for a little over a month now. I woke up this morning to 96% charged after charging all night. Now it doesn’t seem to want to charge at all. When I have it plugged in it just keeps the charge it has and degrades when I unplug it, but then keeps the phone charge at the lower charge. Moving from 5 stars to 2...maybe One.Update2: it must have been a glitch or something, it’s charging to 100% now...wired.Update: it’s charging to 99%So I bought and installed this battery it on Oct 15,2018, it is now Nov 3rd 2018 and I’ve had the battery plugged in for over 10 hours and it will not charge pass 96%. I followed the instructions to let the battery die and the fully charge it 3 times. It was doing good up until Nov 2nd,2018. Not sure if I’d recommend this one!
