It is the best product for all beginners as well as professionals. For someone starting to practice Calligraphy, this tool is the best starting point. The grip, ink flow, friction - everything is just perfect. Do not try to fiddle with the ink cartridge. Accept the fact that Pilot doesn't make an alternate ink pump add-on to fill our own inks in this pen. If you decide to fill the entire barrel with ink (without ink cartridge), then remember to ALWAYS keep the pen in an upright position. While practising, remember that the pilot inks are quite strong and leaves mark on the other side of the paper also. If you use glossy coated paper while doing Calligraphy, wait for a few minutes for the ink to dry. By default, Pilot Parallel Pen gives a nice, generous ink flow to the nib.

It's extremely easy to use and control. However I did feel the flow isn't very smooth. That's the only point I struggled a bit. But the pen delivers the required strokes effectively (when ink flow is continuous off course). Value for money.Delivery was prompt with no damages whatsoever.

Pilot parallels pen is way above expectation ... only if you are used to writing with a fountain pen and are extremely comfortable with it. Ideal for calligraphists. I use it to sketch and 3.8mm nib set is ideal for beginners who are enthusiastic about starting with a parallels pen. You'll get two cartridges with this pen set... I received1 black and 1 red. It's a whole new world!Quality is way above expectation as it is a PILOTDefinitely not recommended for gel pen or ball point pen users.

The media could not be loaded.  Its one of the best tool out there to do calligraphy.The only reason I am dipping is because the ink catridges are finished but you can actually fill in ink.I would recommend good quality ink though.Have to buy the 6mm next time.Thanks

Nice pen for those who want to start their calligraphy journey. It's a very nice pen to hold and write, it doesn't require more pressure, hassle free experience.
