Good price on a wood duck call. Note thats the type of duck, NOT the material the call is made of!
This sounds like a wood duck, which is a good thing... To sound like a happy content stationary wood duck blow tee owwww wit, to sound like one flying by blow tooooit tooooit. Molded plastic - NOT wood. Keep that in mind, it is NOT a "wooden" duck call, its is a plastic call for calling wood ducks - a particular species. Sounds good. Good price. Comes with a lanyard.

Good call
Promos usually makes quality calls for the money. This is a good single reed wood duck call. I have used this in the field and it works for the most part. One time, we were in the field with 20 degree weather and the reed froze. That happened because I used it a lot, then the moisture froze the reed. Another time, we were on an evening hunt and we heard wood ducks flying. There were three wood ducks flying and I gave them the too weeeeeet too weeeeeet, and they made a full circle and flew right over our heads. This call works if it is not frozen. Minutes before that It went under water, and i shook it out and it worked. If it has too much moisture it won't work. So use lightly. Good call for the money.

Inconsistent
The call is capable of AT TIMES making a decent sound but it’s not loud, or capable of making rolling calls/feeder clucks/chirps any spit/rain/water and it starts to crack over too soon or will blow through or just crack a sharp noise and stop all together. So you have to whip everything you can out of it to get the call working again. So If you are a soft caller/don’t call and maybe want to work with it spend the money otherwise the tan one from another brand is way better and is way better and my go-to this was a back up when I couldn’t get that after my main lanyard was at camp and I wasn’t going back up there for a few weeks and it was easier/cheaper to get a few back up calls

Good sound for the price
Good sound for the price. Easy to use. good call for a new hunter.Plastic is kinda cheap... I've broken two, but they're $9. You get what you pay for.Only real complaint is they freeze easily in cold and won't work well until it thaws and dries out.

Wounded Goose Call?
We returned this. It does not sound like a wood duck at all. My husband said it sounded like a wounded goose.

Poor construction
The issue lies not with the seller but with the call construction. I've been hunting ducks for 15 years now....never had an issue with a call locking up but Saturday was the day and this call locked up tighter than a banjo string. Needless to say it's now sitting in the trash can....old trusty duck commander call to the rescue
