Great for small spaces!
FIRST IMPRESSIONSAs soon as I took this heater out of the box, I was impressed with how sturdy it felt. All the buttons have a solid click to them and the labels are all easy to read (though some english translation help is clearly needed.) There’s another on/off switch at the back and an inset that provides a perfect carry handle and an on/off switch.GENERAL FEEDBACKTo use this heater you need to flip the switch at the back before pushing the “on/off” button on the top of the unit. If you turn the heater off with the top button it takes about 20 seconds for it to stop. This delay is intended and it extends the lifetime of the ceramic heating disc inside the heater. The “soft/strong” button is the heating button and indicates whether the heater is blowing low/high. You also have a red light under the top buttons which changes brightness depending on which strength you have set for the heater. I wasn’t able to discern much difference in temperature between soft or strong. Once it’s going, the heater starts belting out high temperatures fast! The “regular wind” button is for the fan only mode. There’s a bright blue light under the buttons when you use this mode. The air it pushes out is cool and there’s no options for altering the strength of the fan.The “swing” button enables the rotation setting of the heater which makes it turn in a 60 degree arc. This is a nice function to have if you don’t want direct heat/cooling.For safety, the heater will shut off if you knock it off balance. This is a must if you have kids, pets or a clumsy person nearby. It takes a while for the fan to stop operating, but the heat cuts as soon as it’s tipped. When the heater is set upright again, it stays turned off. It will also turn off if the heater is covered while in use, to prevent causing a fire. FOLLOW UP1 week later and it’s, conveniently, got cold enough to try this out. This little heater belts out hot air fast! I was very surprised with how quickly it warmed my bedroom up, within an hour it had raised the temperature 6°F degrees, and within 2 it had gone up by about 10°F. I had the heater running for a solid 4 hours and it showed no sign of melting or distortion. It has an audible hum, but it’s not loud at all. This size of this heater makes it great for small spaces like bathrooms, dorm rooms or office areas. You do need to make sure you follow directions and give it about 10 cm (approx 4 inches) around it while in operation, but that’s standard for any fan heater. Just because it’s small, doesn’t mean it won’t get hot!

Conscientious Review - Know What You Want/Expect
**CORRECTION to below - Heater does not automatically turn off after 4 hours. I must have bumped it or hit power button erroneously. I turned heater on in the bedroom last night when I went to bed and it ran unti I turned it off this morning. What do you want this heater to do? This is the question to ask yourself. I’ve had the unit for just a few days now and here’s my take. I see there are a lot of 5 star reviews and most with limited specific information. As I appreciate the honest feedback from other sellers when I make a purchase, I’ll provide the same. On a general note, I own another product from Oittm, and I will say I’ve had a very positive customer service experience with them in the past. If you are concerned about a company responding or standing behind a product, my experience tells me Oittm will. This little space heater is just that, little. It is apx. 8” tall and 5” wide and deep. The quiet nature of the fan is relative. It is not whisper quiet however, it’s not obnoxiously loud. It does heat up relatively quickly so if you are sitting next to it, you’ll feel the heat up to about 16” away from the fan if it is in swing mode and a little further and more intensely if it is not in swing mode. This is good if you are trying to heat up an office cubicle (provided it’s allowed at your office), at a desk, small work space or personal space. For instance, I have mine currently on a small table next to the recliner where I like to sit and read and have my coffee in the morning. It certainly does not heat the entire living room but takes the chill out of the area I am sitting in. I have yet to try it in the bathroom or bedroom but will be doing so.THINGS TO NOTE:There is both a main power switch on the back of the unit as well as an On/Off button on top of the unit. Both must be on for the unit to operate. If you turn the unit off using the button on the top of the unit, the fan will continue to blow for about 20 seconds or so before it completely shuts off. This is a safety feature and is not a malfunction as some reviews have indicated they couldn’t shut it off. There is a small red light at the top front of the unit, this is on when the heating element is activated. If you press the Soft/Strong button, that light gets a little bit darker red and although the instructions indicate the power changes from 450W to 950W, I personally am not sure what changes as other than the light, I don’t notice a change. The Regular Wind button de-activates the heating element and now the unit basically works as a fan. The light changes to blue and although the fan keeps running, the air coming out is no longer hot. If you want a unit that can double as a small fan and heater, this is a nice feature. The oscillation feature is called Swing and it does not appear to be a full 60 degrees as indicated. There is a button on top of the unit that says Swing and this turns the feature on and off. It does rotate quietly. If you are looking for a unit with an automatic thermostat/temperature control feature, this isn’t it. If you are looking for a unit to heat a large room this may not be the best option, if you are looking for something to heat a medium sized room, that has yet to be tested. If you are looking for a small portable unit for your personal space, this may work great for you.SUGGESTIONS:The instructions are poorly written. For Oittm, this is a strong suggestion, improve the English and copywriting of the materials or hire a new copywriter for the instruction manuals of the products. Not that one should need instructions for a space heater however, the labeling of the buttons are also unusual - Swing, Regular Wind, Soft/Strong. And, if you didn’t realize there were two on/off buttons and that the fan blowing for the temp to cool before completely turning off was a safety feature, you’d think the unit wasn’t functioning properly. This information is found in the instructions. However, there’s no inication in the instructions that the unit will automatically shut off after 4 hours or if tipped or knocked over. I have now tried both after re-reading that on the description online and it does. I will now be giving it a try at night in the bedroom. The words No Covered are also printed on the top of the unit under the buttons, I take this to mean do not cover or block the front of the unit/fan when on however, it’s odd as there is another warning on the front of the unit under the net surface.Adding a timer feature as well as a temperature control/sensor that can be set so unit automatically turns on/off to maintain a specific temperature in the area. A timer feature would allow you to set the unit for a specific amount of time (say up to 4 hours if that is the automatic shut off time), this would be especially nice if using at night in a bedroom when going to sleep. On last thing to note, there was an insert in the box indicating that 3 year replacement service was free if you register. The product description on Amazon offered a lifetime warranty. As I’ve noted, I’ve had good customer service experience with the company however, I’d suggest not sending out conflicting information or making the warranty/service registration clear and consistent. That is my comprehensive review based on current usage and experience. I will update if necessary. The benefit of Amazons return policy and the service of Oittm means you can certainly try the unit out for yourself if it sounds like it will fit your needs or it might fit your needs but you aren’t 100% sure. It certainly isn’t the least expensive space heater available and I haven’t had it long enough to speak on longevity however, I am satisfied with current experience.

This is a must buy
I am in love with this heater. I'm the type of person to do a ton of research anytime i'm going to be purchasing things for my kids or the home. This little thing packs a very powerful punch. Don't underestimate it's abilities due to size. I had it running one cold night in my kid's room and their room was warmer than the whole house. It was also a very comfy warm so nothing too much the kids couldn't handle. I love the swinging motion and how you can control how much heat you want out. It's a very quite hum when it's on so it's actually quite relaxing to listen to. If you are wanting something small for a small area or just to warm your feet in the office, this will do the trick perfectly.

Amazing Heat from a Tiny Footprint Device
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Shipping was super fast and after spending some time with this heater here are a few of my impressions.Pros:- Very small for the amount of heat it can pump out- Heats up very quickly (less than 10s to nice and toasty)- Safely turns off if it's knocked over- High and low heating modes for gentle warmth or fast defrost- Works as regular fan as well- Plastic body remains cool to the touch during use (but don't touch the front metal grill which will be quite hot)- Construction is very well madeCons:- Chemical smell during first use (wears off after about half an hour of use, so I'd advise letting it run in a well ventilated area before use)- Button labeling doesn't quite make sense, translation is a bit off (though this is not much of an issue as it's easy to guess what each button does)So after using this guy for the past few weeks I can unreservedly recommend this for those with cold rooms that need a quick heat. I will personally be using this for my desk to keep my typing in the coldest of weather.

Great personal and portable heater in the market
I was looking for a small heater to go into my bedside .I found this here on Amazon and wanted to give it a go .here are my thoughts .Pros- the heater is pretty straight forward to use.- comes with 2 heat settings slow and fast .- on the heat mode there is small red light on the top looks cute .- comes with a air only mode which just re circulates the air in the room .- can swing up to 60 degCons -- it's a portable heater . don't expect it to heat up your whole room- would have been great to have Wi-Fi app control or remote control for this guyto sum up , this is a personal heater to put close to where ever we are . can't expect this to heat up a room.

Powerful and great looking
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This little gem is absolutely powerful and quiet (on the lower setting). I was surprised how small it is, and how much heat it generates! It's also great in summer for just blowing (cold) air about, and the oscillation is very helpful. It looks great at my desk and takes up very little room. Love the fact that it turns off when it falls over, and the indirect illumination for each setting (heat = read, high heat = brighter red, no heat = blue). The smell that the product generates at the beginning is normal for a new product and will disappear in a couple of days of use. Looks and feels like a quality product, and I'm hoping it will bring me warmth and comfort for many seasons to come.

Fantastic Heater, Fantastic Seller
This personal heater works well for it's intended use. We have a home office, 20'x20', that the heater can keep at a comfortable temperature and we've had it running when temperatures have hit -10 C outside. It puts out a lot of heat for it's small size. We appreciate the small size and its portability which easily allows us to move it from room to room. What makes this heater stand out from others are features like it's ability to oscillate and that it can work as a cooling fan as well! Being in an area where hydro costs are high, we also appreciate that it's high setting uses 950w rather than 1500w like most other competitor heaters. The safety shut off/tip over feature is a bonus although the unit is rather sturdy. The unit is not loud and we were amazed at how quickly it heats up. To top things off, we had excellent communication with the seller!

Basic Heater, Good for small rooms/offices
It's a small product, perfect for small rooms or offices. The heater needs to be close to you to feel the heat, the heat doesn't rise so it's perfect for by your feet when you're working. The noise level is sub par. It's not silent, you can def hear it but it's white background noise. It was confusing at first, when I turned it ON, it would stay on for maybe 10 minutes and then automatically shut off so I had to turn it back on, and then it just stayed on. So I'm not sure what that's about. It rotates halfway, back and forth slowly so the "swing" feature works. It's a basic heater with basic settings and I recommend it for anyone.

Not a Bad Heater - Some Quirks
I have Raynauds Syndrome so I literally live with heaters every hour of every day. I bought this as a replacement space heater. I don't dislike it enough to return it - it does the trick. My main beef with it is its topple-sensor - this is an important safety feature of course - but it's too sensitive. If you even touch the heater, it will turn off. But it doesn't recognize that it's not actually toppling over. So if you briefly touch the side of the heater, the heater will turn off. It is unlike some systems where if you touch the heater, but then right it, the heater will keep going. This heater is not like that. The buttons are also too small. Turning it on and off should be easy, but it's just a small button the same size as the other (lesser important buttons). It also has about a 15 second wind-down which can be confusing as you're not sure you've actually turned the heater off properly. I gather this is done to preserve the life of the heating element rather than shock it.Also, the power light is hard to see. It's hidden underneath a plastic cowl so unless you're looking directly at it (which is almost never, given it's on the floor), it's hard to see if the heater is actually powered. Its pluses are that it does heat well and has a small, chic profile. It also doesn't shut off when it wants to (some heaters shut off themselves when they've reached a 'desired temperature').This is, however, far from the best space heater I've owned. But it's good enough.
