I bought these for a safe, easy, fun way for my independent toddler to cut her own sandwiches. The cutters aren't quite deep enough to cut through 2 slices bread alone and definitely take a lot of force to cut through fillings

These are plastic and sharp enough to cut fluffy bread... but not on much of the healthy stuff... I also tossed the puppy cutter - basically all you get is the puppy in the middle... ? Whats up with that? anyway... I use these to entice my 5 year old grandson to eat. Sometimes it works! I involve him in making the sandwich, cutting it and then putting it on the plate with other sides of his choice. I found that cutting the crusts off before cutting helps. I have a very high top drawer in my dishwasher - so I do wash them in there, but regular top rack should work. They do have sharp edges and they are brittle plastic so I imagine they will have a fairly short life time, maybe longer if you hand wash in all fairness. Having said all of that, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful.

Easy to use. I would suggest rinsing these right after you use them. There are many cracks for food to get stuck in and dry up making it hard to clean. Rinse or wash right after use. Made cutting the crust off my sons sandwiches a lot easier.

These are cute, my daughter loves them. However, they aren't great at cutting through a sandwich (and aren't thick enough to cut a sandwich without squishing it). Some cut mostly ok, but the ones with a lot of pieces in the middle like the dog with the house and the puzzle aren't good at cutting through the sandwich in the middle, only around the edges.

Great until they broke. They are thinner plastic than one i bought at Vons. Good variety and peice though. Kids love them! Dinosaur Toast Please!

Cute but arrived broken. Extra plastic pieces sticking out and sharp.

They do not seal.

Received the dinosaur broken, sharp spots on some & not very sturdy.
