Bamboo and Cast Zinc Magnetic Knife Storage Rack by Bisbell (13" Long)

I purchased this to replace a cheaper knife bar as this was a bit wider and more attractive. This item looks great on my kitchen wall but doesn't perform like the cheaper bars that have both a top and bottom magnet.There seems to be 6 magnetic "sweet spots" on this bar that will hold a knife. The cheaper bar I have will hold as many knives securely as you can fit on the bar. Also the magnetic hold isn't as strong. A heavy knife can fall or moves a bit when you try and secure it to the bar.Bottom line it's very attractive but the performance lags cheaper models. I would suggest a well reviewed double magnet bar in the size you need. Cheaper and more dependable.

I was very hesitant to purchase this product after some of the reviews. However because of the size and design I really wanted it to work. The magnetic strength is awesome and holds my 9 inch chef knife perfectly. The weak magnet that some of the other reviews allude to is false. There are 6 individual magnets in this unit and the like poles are facing each other. That means that there are small areas between the 6 magnets that are NOT magnetic and will not hold a knife securely. Simply move the knife a little left or right and bingo perfection.

It's attractive, feels well-made, and holds my knives without damaging them. The metal capping on either end is recessed, so your knife's edge can't hit it when taking/replacing the knife. I can fit about 6 knives on there, ranging from a couple of 8-inch chef's knives to several boning/paring knives & one bread knife. What's hanging there depends on what's clean at the moment. Installing it is easy, the hardware is minimal & the directions simple. It was well worth the price.

I was hesitant to spend the extra money for this knife rack but glad I did. The Bamboo wood is solid and smooth and holds the knives perfectly. Also, the stainless steel ends look good and it was easy to hang on the wall. This is an item you pay a little more for but will last you much longer than cheaper versions. Great product

I had just bought a beautiful 7" Japanese knife & wanted to store it and display it at the same time. This rack wouldn't hold it up, or my Henckels 6" chefs knife. Both slid around & didn't feel secure. It looks beautiful - I wished the rack had worked out.

This knife holder is so bamboo and pretty. It's too bad it won't hold my knives. While this is a nice knife holder, it will not hold heavier knives. I really wanted to love it.

I have a small kitchen and every bit of space counts.I put this in my sink cupboard, and it works nicely.I specifically like this because of the solid bamboo covering which will protect the knife blades.Would buy 2 more but the price????

Very Cool and keeps stuff off the counter top. It will hold all your knives from a basic kit sans the steak knifes.
