Solid Beginner Watercolor Pad — Good for Practice
The paper is thick enough to handle light-to-moderate washes without immediately buckling. It does warp slightly with heavier water use, but that’s expected at this price point. Taping the edges down helps. The texture is more on the smooth side (closer to cold press but not heavily textured). It works well for basic watercolor techniques, light layering, and even mixed media like pen and ink over paint. Blending is decent, though the paper doesn’t hold super wet techniques or heavy reworking as well as higher-end cotton paper. Overall, this is a solid option for beginners, hobby painters, or anyone who wants a practice pad without using up expensive professional paper. Not archival fine-art quality, but dependable for everyday painting. I’d repurchase for sketching and studies.

Good quality!
The pages were nice and thick, with a good texture to them (I'm a texture person.) The absorbency seemed good, as they didn't bleed the colors all over. Easy to use with the paints and helped create a craft that was a ton of fun!

Nice paper if you don’t mind lines
The paper was nice, it didn’t buckle with water much at all. I am happy with it but the texture is straight up and down lines….like from the top of the paper to the bottom lines….all the way across. I use budget friendly paper because I’m not a professional and I’m still learning, so I go through a lot of paper. But sometimes my friends or family will ask me to paint something for them and I don’t want lines covering the page…the paint settles in it. It screams “cheap” paper and maybe I don’t want my paper to be telling all my business!

Nice quality paper
Heavyweight paper that holds up to the water colors. If I get too heavy handed with the water on the paper it'll start to warp the paper. Simple solution: after it's dry I just stick it under a heavy book for an hour+ and it comes out flat. It looks a little off white and like a higher quality paper. It's been working out good for me. The price seems fair. This will probably be my go to for watercolor paper.
