St. Martin's Griffin Doug the Pug: The King of Pop Culture Book

Leslie Mosier und ihr kleiner Mops Doug haben im Internet, speziell auf Instagram (>2 Mio. Follower) und Facebook (>5 Mio. Likes), eine riesengroße Fangemeinde. Der "King of pop culture" posiert in den süßesten Posen und hat in kürzester Zeit Kultstatus erreicht. Während man in den sozialen Netzwerken quasi kostenlos Zugriff auf hunderte von Doug Bildern hat, stellt das aktuelle Buch ein kleines und schönes BestOf dar. Die Hardcover-Version umfasst 160 Seiten und enthält 133 Farbfotos von Doug. Mal posiert er mit Hawaiihemd am Stand, mal als Pilot im Cockpit vom Flugzeug, oder als Feuerwehrmops, ich habe selten so einen fotogenen Hund gesehen! Auch ein paar Schnappschüsse mit einigen Promis wie Ed Sheeren, Justin Bieber oder Steven Tyler sind am Ende zu sehen. Außer einer kleinen Einleitung/Danksagung ist sonst kein Text enthalten (lediglich die kleinen und lustigen Gedankenblasen von Doug).Definitiv 5 Sterne für das Buch, ich wundere mich allerdings über die beiden Versionen, die bei amazon angeboten werden. Beides sind englische Versionen und beides sind gebundene Auflagen, aber unterschiedliche Verlage und auch zwei verschiedene Preise.

Made my mom very happy. Kids would also like it because the only text is in small bubbles and is only a few words. The book is beautiful, a little short for the price but overall I'm very happy.

I gave this book to a friend of mine and she loved it but i find it a little bit overpriced considering there are only photos of a dog in different costumes and situation.There isn't really a lot of content and you can easily read it in half an hour or less so considering the price and the cost of expedition is kinda expensive.

Arrived extremely fast! It was a very cute book, but if you follow Doug on social media, the pictures were similar, if not the same, so it was a tad expensive for a small picture book. Worth the flip through, my mom and I had a good laugh at all the photos.
