1 star for fast delivery. This wintergreen is absent of color (brown) and smell. I opened the package up and tasted the product. No Wintergreen taste. I purchased this because of the five-star reviews. As an herbalist, I honestly feel this is so old that there are no more volatile oils left in the dried plant matter. It is this oil which makes herbs into tasty teas and medicines. Hopefully, I can return this. I will look for another Wintergreen product.

Not much aroma, is that how it should be?
I'm a newbie to using wintergreen and was a bit surprised at how weak this herb was with aroma. Not sure sure if that is how it is supposed to be or what? I purchased it for making root beer and was a bit confused when using it since I assumed adding 7 grams of it would be a pretty powerful dose of flavor, so I decided to make some tea with it ( as recommended on the package with 2 tsp per 8 oz of hot water) along with a dab of sugar. There was wintergreen flavor, but very mild, tasty at least. I guess I will need to explore other seller options to see if there is any differences.UPDATE: I just did my homework and learned there is a fermentation process to develop the "wintergreen" flavor in tea that we all know and love. I will be sure to try this immediately.
